Have you ever sent away ISK accidentally?

Especially when it comes to moving mass amounts of assets or ISK, you have the right idea. Double check , people. You'd think the "game of scams" would teach a thing or two.

As a general rule of thumb, when I transfer funds from char to char, I not only check and recheck the names but I also check the info cards on them to see the char for further confirmation that I'm not about to hate life because of "mistakes were made" syndrome. Also, try this, send a few ISK initially as a test to see if you got the correct char. There is also a direct trade function if I'm not mistaken (both sender and receiver have to be online and in same station I think) that can work, though only if you can log both chars at once.

Well make sure you recognize your picture. I keep both of my alts in my contact book so I can just right click > send ISK without any risk of sending it another person.

i had people send me isk by mistake, a few 00s, not much. i sent it back both times, i wouldn't mind scamming someone out of their isk, but receiving by mistake like that feels, "unearned".

I just accidentally sent 800 million ISK to a character 2 letters different than an alt I had just created. It seems the servers don't update new characters immediately, so when I searched my characters name only one result came up - which I assumed to be mine and quickly sent the ISK without thinking much about it.

my first mistake was doing it at jita, second was trying to right click my alt in the station guest list.
someone was 300 million richer that day and it definitely wasn't my alt Twisted

never sent away isk, but i recieved a 2 billion deposit from someone i was in a channel with once. i returned it mind you was a corpmate of a friend - worked out for the best though made more friends in one of the heavier hitting alliances in my region.
