Wow, you already lost 300k ships...Not even I have done that, and I suck at PvP

The novelty might wear thin but there's me assuming things again.

Correction: I wrote *Might* therefore technically accepting there is a possibility that it won't.
I wonder what you what will be like when I actually do decide to disagree with you over something ?

Well, so far all losses I personally had were fun (some not when it happened - Like the one time I took a Tayra out of Jita 4-4 with couple of PLEX in the hold) but in the end, every loss has a story behind it and after all they in the end are just space-pixels belonging to a game, so if you can't laugh off a loss, then you take this game WAY to serious.

Hell, people in a fleet that I used to run with a lot as a scout found it funny that no matter what the enemy had, I went for it, head first. Even to the point where 2 scouts for the fleet already were reshipping into new ships before the fleet officially undocked because we were playing with a gatecamp while waiting for the fleet. By the time the fleet was ready to jump into null-sec and FC asked for scout report, we had to announce we were actually "behind" the fleet because of stupidity.Roll Not the finest moment when you know there are a lot of people with the fleet new to PvP and relying on you for some good action, guidance and teaching and then they hear those that should provide it die first

There seems quite a lot to Eve, the scale/scope of it is quite impressive, It is science fiction and that is always a good excuse to create things that help game play and no one can say it can't be done or it doesn't exist. It incorporates RPG character development, It has tactics and logistics all the way from interstellar empires to arcade shoot em up.

My best advise is go out and shoot someone in the face which technically is from any direction because all ships are counted as a spherical target but in reality I don't have any advice because the best thing to do will soon become different depending on where you are, who you are and the opportunities that come up.

Well this is in fact another point I would like to clarify even if some have decided I am arguing.. lol

I can't actually declare war on anybody because I'm not the CEO. and if I am correct, an individual character cannot declare war on another player character, only a player corporation can declare war on another player corporation.

Then I will Declare on your corp when I get back from my travels with my 1 man alliance. Your CEO is going to love you.

Dunno, not seen a trace of him for about 6 weeks, he's gone off to sulk about the manufacturing changes in the last patch.

If you can keep it up for a month or two he might notice.

But supposing that happened and I left the corporation while it was war decked, how would that affect your rights to engage offensive modules in high sec?

For somebody that want to engage others for potential isk gain you sure do seem to be pretty skittish about somebody coming after you.

This is the only way I earn ISK in this game, by shooting at other people.

This is why I cannot take people like you serious. You works on assumptions and information posting on internet based on others that hardly do it themselves instead of just doing it yourself.

I see, your technique is to try to hurt players pride so they will do something stupid, well as interesting as that is,my post here is not part of my game strategy, it is just my curiosity about the game mechanisms. I'm not attempting to obtain ISK or a kill from any of you.

And an amusing one.

I'm not sure where you get the idea that I'm sabre rattling,

Maybe if there was a reason to declare war on you as opposed to any of the other thousands of players.

I've just asked this on another thread but

If Concord can sell war rights, why can't they sell kill rights ?

Because you also seem to already have a grasp of some of the mechanics you are asking about... but seem resistant to test them without knowing every precise detail possible (which smacks of extreme OCD)... or vaguely argue the merits of said mechanics/details (which sets off some of our "troll detectors").

How about this one; he'll teach you the timers and aggression mechanics first-hand in less than a day (at your cost of course).

Also... you don't need a good reason to declare war. "He looked at me funny" is sufficient enough.

Now stop asking, start doing.

Yes.
However it should be noted that there is an exceptional amount of information in this thread, most of it from the same 3 or 4 people, all of it good solid advice.

In the spirit of nc q&a it's all been good natured but if you want to get your forum warrior on I would recommend you keep it in general discussion

I've got no intention of doing that and I think that is about it for my questions many thanks to those who answered them.

If someone does feel like answering the one about selling kill rights, here's a new thread Sinister Crimewatch

Doesn't that prove my point, that you have all these liked by, disliked by, standings and security status. Why do they go to war ? because someone posted on a forum..
