Weapon Tiercide Oversight?

First off I'm very excited about module tiercide and think it's really going to clean up a lot of the clutter in EVE Online. However, I'm concerned that the unnamed modules will continue to be useless.

CCP Fozzie stated at fanfest, "the dream is to have everything a player uses created by another player."

Since named modules will eventually be manufactured by players, what purpose do they serve if they are still inferior in every statistical aspect?

One might argue a lower cost but due to them combining the drop rates of multiple meta items together to form the new groups, I suspect the difference in ISK would be marginal—if any at all.

Here's a link to the statistics of LIght Missile Launchers after tiercide:

P.S. no comments on the RoF change here please.

Edit: It appears all Meta 0 items are affected by this issue and not just weapons.

Well, if nothing else, you need a meta 0 to build a T2 module, so there's always that.

As you can see from the dev blog you linked though, it's completely intended that meta 0 be worse than named, so it's hardly an oversight...

This, its all they ever had.....Well ghetto mineral compression in the past. Didn't have rorq handy, ship off 425 I rails to empire and you wrote wrote off lost mins in refining as cost of business.

I know some indy's had dreams of billions msde when they no longer dropped in NPC wrecks. By now they should realize that gravy train did not come. You have players like me who do it all across alts. And I have my own bp's to make this stuff. As do many others. I have my lazy moments at times but if the price is not right, I can stop being lazy real fast and put t1 mods in the oven myself lol. Little things like this....why they need to lose the visions of t1 riches.

Or sell there stuff cheap enough to say people like me so we opt to be lazy and buy it. this they don't tend to do many times though.
