Tested fittings for empire burner teams

Hey guys! Thought I'd make a thread where we can share the different setups/fits we've come up with in order to beat the four empire burner teams. It would be interesting to see how others have solved the same problems, and will also save you some time so you don't have to test the exact same setup as everyone else.

I'll start. I've done quite extensive testing on the Hawk burner team, and after trying many different ships I have found a Retribution setup that works.

This setup works fine, you take out the bantams first and then the hawk.


An improved version of this setup, which I haven't been able to try because of a lack of faction/deadspace modules on sisi, but which has improved stats over this one while only costing about 10m more, is this one:

This setup has improved dps (202, versus the other setups 182), same range and better tank. Both setups are cap stable. You also use Imperial Navy Xray S for a tiny bit of a damage bonus and better tracking against the hawk, but this isn't really necessary.

Holy hell, the Amarr team was one tough nut. Finally found a setup that works though, which is kinda a ripoff from the Burner fits thread in missions and complexes.

The way this works is that you immediatly web and approach one of the inquisitors when you land, with your AB on. You use your drones and guns to chew through him, which is easy enough. Now comes the kinda odd part. Because there are no deadspace modules on sisi (that I can find), I've had to make do with a t2 web. This means you can't web the 2nd inquisitor, as the closest you'll be able to get is 17-18km and an overheated t2 web is 13km. However, because he has no repping power, your drones can kill him, it's just slow. You can tank all this time with no problems.

After the second inquisitor is done you just finish off the vengeance, which is very easy. I tried breaking the vengeance while that last inquisitor was still alive, might be doable with gallente frigate 5 and the drones on him, but since it's been a while since the mirror I only had gallente frigate 4 and therefore couldn't break him.

Alrighty, here's a fit for the Jaguar burner. This was VERY tight, I survived in hull, but I also made some mistakes at the beginning (didn't activate booster until half shield), so that's kinda my fault. With faction/deadspace fittings I think this will do quite nicely.

Use Acolytes for the Bursts and Hobgoblins for the Jaguar.

It's a bit tricky, as you'll run out of cap like 1 second before your cap booster finishes its reload, so be quick to activate it again.

So far I've only done a dual-box test against the Jag team, with a Griffin & FN Comet. My Griffin pilot has pretty decent ECM skills so he goes in first and lays 4 x Meta4 Ladar jams on the Jag, and one on the first Burst. THE Comet is in 2/3 secs later and webs & dispatches the second Burst, then goes for the first. By this time the Jag has run off to 100km+ so I shut down the ECM, wait for him to return, jam him again and dual-web him with the Comet. Then it's easy pickings.

I've run 4 Republic Fleet burner missions and had no trouble with them, all over in 4-5 minutes.

Cost: About 55mill - most of that from the two faction hardeners. You could try a T2 plus a resistance plate instead and keep the cost around 20 mill.

So far (in my limited experience) if the Griffin loses a jam, the Jag immediately goes in for the kill. But with 4 staggered jams, it's only a few secs before he's re-jammed and barely gets one shot off. It's still plenty of time, should you panic, to warp off the Comet.
