I would like a button somewhere in the game that I can click which would allow me to order pizza in a variety of toppings to my front door step. I would like to pay for said pizza in isk.

Make it happen CCP.

EDIT: I'd also like to be able to send pizza to friends and foes alike with an alliance logo on the box.

EDIT 2: I will send every person that likes this idea a pizza once CCP implements it.

Hmm judging from the plex prices in isk, and the price of plex in irl currency, on a tuesday I could probably get 2 pizzas for about a billion isk.

awesome.

The idea of making people AFK by sending them pizza is appealing.

Or doesn't know the detailed "fun" behind what is being asked. CCP would have to submit for a merchant code for starters. When the nice cashier at the store runs your CC, say a visa, that visa has uses a visa merchant code that POS system paid to clear the,. So that the point of sale (POS) system can process it through the clearing they use.

This would be why some places don't take american express. They think they are special. Makes them a pita to deal with to have their merchant code in your POS system to clear their cards. Since visa and master card more common, many like my company say be special...but we aren't playing by your tarded rules and fees for your merchant code and we don't support their cards.

Then with merchant code in hand....its now getting places to accept it. That means they pay for it. Our company sends out annually money to clear the cards we support. Just not seeing hilmar having much luck getting a massive chain like pizza hut nationwide to pay for the privilege to use their merchant code. Let alone smaller mom and pop types places. Like I said above....companies are willing turn away potential amex clients because they are a pita to deal with and lost business impact < the impact of paying for the right to use them. This amex...a major payment provider. Not some smallish game company in iceland.

Then there is the backend of this....not even sure how that would work. It be akin to bit coin and other "internet currencies"....and we don't need to fire up that debate here I don't think.

Ragnarok Online did this a long time ago in Korea. Gravity Interactive had an agreement set up with Domino's.

That being said, it was one specific chain and it was within the boundaries of one specific nation. I don't see it working for an international game like EVE, nor do I think the economy wants it.

Even though it would probably sink TONS of ISK out of the economy, I just see this being a Very Bad Idea™.

Chains like dominoes are under less constraint in foreign countries. Many are open to non-local currency. The internet currency odd sounding tbh, but thats korea. Korea is...korea. Love visiting there but its kind of unique place in many ways.

One of the cool things about McDonalds for example to show outside US setups is is they take dollars worldwide. I have gone to them in japan a few times only to see my wife had borrowed my yen and not tell me but had the dollars and money taken. Now flipdside this and I go to the golden arches near my brothers place in the US when I visit and my yen gets me nothing lol.

Now how this convenience works is messed up kind of. Case of dominoes....oversears they aren't the cheap-ish meals the are US side. As I found out when they put up some joints in the japanese prefecture I live in. I have been to the states somewhat recently. What I paid in the US and here.....not the same by a long shot lol. Wouldn't complain if good, but I paid paid more for a taste of home and it sucked lol.

Why stop on pizza? Some people will be more than happy to buy dollars using ISK.

I like it that you're thinking ahead. No, it's not a simple implementation. Yes, it's doable. I'm thinking if they start it off in the US, just think how awesome it would be to be able to buy a corp mate in another state a pizza with your alliance logo on the box. It's fcuking epic. Say 800 million isk for a pizza of your choice. What's not to like?

Everquest 2 used to allow you to order pizza throuh the game client, so it HAS been done. They didn't let you pay for it with game currency though.

Since I forgot to mention it earlier, when Ragnarok did that ingame pizza thing, they added the cost of the pizzas you ordered to your monthly subscription fee. Since that seems to be the way every other incarnation of it has been, that's what would likely have to happen here as well.

One other note: It is literally quite impossible to get your alliance logo printed on a pizza box. Stop posting while on drugs.
