How has Lowsec changed for you since the updates?

It's a simple question. I'm asking because I'm not really involved in industry or manufacturing. From my clients (see pirate protection link below) the general sentiment is that the updates has made Lowsec much more valuable as an area of industry. But I'm curious to see, for the sake of my own research, what aspects specifically have made lowsec of more value.

Thank you.

Well, we planned a move to lowsec as Crius approached, but we never completed it. Hisec system costs have reached a "sane" level now.

Our lowsec office rent skyrocketed, so others must have moved into lowsec.

Reminds me that I really need to go and unrent the unused lowsec office someday soon.

Low sec mining is better, but is it the Thukker array?

From Dev Blog: " Thukker Component Assembly Array

As we mentioned some time ago, we are also going to introduce a new type of Component Assembly Array to help low-security Capital ship builders to compete with the reprocessing changes.

This structure will give 25% reduction in manufacturing time, 10% reduction in manufacturing required materials and may only be anchored in low-security solar systems. It may only be used to build Capital Construction Components and Advanced Capital Construction Components."

If that's the case, then it seems like your protection service would be valuable to a low-sec industrialist.

When the industry changes were announced, we looked at lowsec and rented an office as a hedge against higher costs.

It turned-out that it wasn't necessary though, especially when one considers the additional headaches it entails.
