Ore Yield Spreadsheet

I am attempting to make a spreadsheet that will show the profitability of refining ores.

I know that this has been done before, but after my searching, I could not find one that did what I wanted.

My problem now is, I ran into a small problem. I am fairly decent at math, but I guess what I am trying to do eludes me; That, or the way Station tax rate is calculated is different than what I am thinking.

If someone could take a look at my sheet and tell me what I did wrong, I would be very grateful.

I have a little test data entered already, based on my character. Specifically, the Azure Plagiocite, my tax rate (as stated by the game), and my yield %.

The numbers the sheet derives are close to what I actually see when I am at the test station, but they are off nonetheless. It is a small sample size, and it's still enough to give wildly inaccurate results, which would be detrimental to the process.

I am not seeing where the refining skills are taken into account. How are you confirming the numbers your spreadsheet derives? Is it possible you are seeing more than 52% refine rate on that character?

I am doing a by station difference. That is calculated in cell M4.

I was confirming by sitting at a station, and looking at exactly what that station told me.

Please see the second link on my signature. If nothing else it might give you some ideas otherwise you could simply buy an already prepared sheet that can be customized specifically for you.

The formula for calculating station tax is "5 - (0.75 * your standing)"

It can also be found here along with a few other helpful formulas.
