First time F&I poster here. I did run a search but found no results in this subforum.

Suggestion:

Have the option to send out notificaitons when you set standings for your alliance / corporation towards another corp/alliance.

Pretty sure it would not be that hard to implement, so only guys with the relevant (diplomat) role in the affected (executor) corp get spammed.

Any reason not to do it ?

The idea is making standing management easier. You set someone blue, you can send out an automated notification, same when you choose to reset him and set neutral.

Same goes for many things, one can still calculate his own dps if he doesn't want to look at the fitting window.

Same goes here, don't wanna use notifications, mail the guys yourself.

If i had an option i would prefer the notifications though.

If can have the game send out a notification to a person when i -10 the guy why should i not be able to do so with corps, if i do so on behalf of SATUN?

I see no reason for this not to be a thing (it will therefor probably involve breaking posses, sov, and possibly the removal of chribba's dread from highsec in order for CCP to be able to make this happen... )

-1 for your "code me something, cause I'm too lazy" idea.

Click mail tab
In To: line type corp/alliance name
In Subject line, type (whoever) is set (whatever)
Click send

Yep, seems so difficult to me that you really need something coded to do it for you.

Thanks for your opinion dude, the thing is - the code is mostly in place as the notification system is in place for char to char standings.

Now be honest with me and tell me how many times you set standings for your corp/alliance.
My guess is it is very close to 0.

Nope, keep my alts in another corp that gets its standings changed every time I change corps, wars end, and wars begin. Really, I see no reason to add more spam to people's mail boxes. What's the worst that happens? Someone triez to set a red to red, or a blue to blue. If you need that much micro-management of the people able to set standings, then you have other issues beyond notifying people about things they should be able to see on their screen.

what difference it makes:
-notifications sent to guys with the diplo role - guess what, if you send out a mail and you wanna know the guy saw it - have to watchlist him and you still have to be on to see him being online and only then you know he saw your mail
- you can't fake notifications, someone can't lie to you (of course he can later remove the standing - but it is a confirmation by an ingame mechanic)

Hmm. Are you able to send a mail to all members of a corp/alliance at once? If so, I don't see the reason for this. It's a matter of a few seconds of time.

If you cannot mass-mail a corp/alliance, then I can support this. There is too much tedium in EVE already, reduction of such is necessary to reduce burnout in management roles. Not a matter of laziness, gotta love when people who've never done real corporate management fail to realize how tedious it is P

Hey guys.

This feature already exists when you set individual standings. As such, there is literally no good reason not to expand it to include setting corporate/alliance standings.

The fact that it hasn't already been expanded can be attributed to a simple oversight.

This has less than nothing to do with laziness or not. It's the simple flow of logic.

OP, you should put this in the "Little Things" thread at the top. All you're going to get by making a thread are the change-averse who walked 30 miles uphill both ways in a blinding acid snowstorm and liked it because they had no choice - and think you should too.
