Why? It helps us bitter vets trying to help carebears out more public.

Thanks for the free publicity brah~

There are mercenary corps for hire.

Complete joke for the defending side.
You have no idea who put mercs on you in the first place.
Odds are high you're paying guys working with the guys who are deccing you.

I've yet to ever hear of one time hiring mercs helped a defending corp in over 5 years of playing.

What's your definition of defending? You mean to sit on some miner and watch for War Targets so he can lazily afk mine?

There is no amount of ISK that you could pay me to do that. I don't want to do that, no one in there right mind would want to do that.

On the topic of not knowing the Mercs, look up your Mercs, Figure out which one does what, Like how Space Warriors camp Jita, Or IKR camps Dodixie, Forsaken camps the Udema Pipeline, or POH likes to Roam. So on and so forth, Figure you what merc corp works best for you.

Also I've never heard of a corp deccing somebody and the aggressing corp being apart an alt of a Merc corp. Most Merc Alts tend to be Scout/Logi, or some kind of Isk generating Alt, IE: Trade/Mission/PI. Decent Idea though.

But many merc corps will hunt down a target if you pay for it. POH Forsaken BAW and IKR will all do that, I'm talking from experience, from being both the hunted and doing the hunting.

Also, have you ever thought about moving shop during a wardec to where the Mercs camp or stage? Like Forsaken camps the Udema Pipeline. Why not move there and mine there during the wardec?

Our inquisitors tend to more focus on quality over quantity, compressing as much concentrated tears into a single beheading as possible by focussing on battleships (or faction battleships). So, rather than execute 100 frigates, dessys or cruisers, we go right for the throat of piniata bears.

Its how we roll.

No they don't. You don't get to play how you want. You get to play how you EARN. You get to do what you want when you are smart enoguh to overcome opposition. A sandbox game doesn't mean you get to do what you want, it means EVERYONE gets to do what they want, and some people want to shut you down.

As it is now, people can either hide from consequences in an npc corp OR make a small "npc corp deluxe" small corp (all the NPC dec dodging, none of the NPC corp taxes) that they can just fold and reform.

What should happen is that NPC corps are an option, but a poor one, and ANY player corp is subject to counters by other player corps that should necessitate actual creativity on the part of the smaller/weaker corp to avoid/mitigate (like getting or buying friends, somehow going 'guerrilla' on the bigger corp, getting bigger/stronger itself or something else).

People who can't see the problem with the current status quo have a problem with honesty.

There is no earn. My entitlement to play this game how I want comes when I pay my sub. When you pay my sub then you can tell me how to play my game.

BS. Your sub gives you access to the game, nothing more. The only 'rights' you have in this game are contained in the EULA, that's it.

So you can play as you want, other people can play as they want, and if they want to stop you, that's fair game. What shouldn't happen is that you shouldn't be able to short-circuit someone playing against you so easily that it costs you nothing.

The above describes the hypocricy seen in many high sec posters. They don't like Ganking (for example) because 'it doesn't cost enough, catalysts are cheap', but when it's a beneficial game mechanic that costs NOTHING (folding then reform a corporation), well, hey, that's ok because sandbox/emergent gameplay.

As usual, it simply you wanting to have your cake and eat it to. Your all for using game mechanics to get what you want as long as it benifits you. The second it doesnt give you what you want you come to forums crying about earning this or people always trying to change the game to suite them. Now your wanting to change the game to benifit you.

Why not take your own advise you have given others in the past and stop asking ccp to change the game because you dont like the mechanics.

So you're a RPer, interesting.

Why would I renounce something, when I meant it?

If the war-dec system altered where it couldn't be abused by people that war-dec, then I would not have problem with it, but so far I've not seen anything that would achieve that.

Also, I'm not really a carebear, regardless of what you think of my views. But I will side with a topic if I feel there is just cause.

Edit: So depending on the topic I could just as easily be defending PvPers.

You never pay attention. I'm a pve player (you know this because I've been satying it here forever), this discussion has nothing to do with me personally. But unlike you I know right from wrong, and in a game where one side pays a price, the other side should too.

Quote:

All game mechanics aren't equal. And even if they were, I'm not seeking some advantage, changing war dec mechanics and npc corp mechanics to be reasonable isn't going to help me kill a Guristas Battleship or scan down a complex any faster.

As i said, there is right and there is wrong. The current mechanics are wrong (for a sandbox game where choices are supposed to matter, the choice to form a player corp should come with a consequence, as should the choice to stay in an npc corp). Good mechanics foster good gameplay (that benefits the entire game community), bad ones (like dec-dodging) stifle interesting game play, which hurts us all.

Because it would save the life of the carebear you have otherwise condemned with your heresy.

Our inquisitor who performs the beheading will no doubt now inform the victim you were also offered the opportunity to recant to save his life, and refused to do so.

Gank? Surely you don't think we do anything as pedestrian as simple ganking? No, what we do requires a bit more panache' than that.

Also, noobs don't typically fly marauders.

Now, this may surprise you. We recruit virally...

That is, no matter how we get the job done, we try to recruit those we splode. One only has to listen to this Domi-bear outreach session inquisitor Faylee ran last night for example, to see we provide a valuable service in converting carebears to killers (tldr; go to 17:00+ timestamp).
