"Online All Modules" option for an unpiloted ship

I've been thinking about setting up contracts for pre-fit ships, working on training the skills up to fit them, and it occurs to me...

It would be really nice if, for an unpiloted ship, there was an option to online all currently fit modules. We can already fit modules to a ship regardless of skill, but I'm not aware of any way to get the modules online without the required fitting skills (including cpu and powergrid skills).

Again, this is only if the ship is unpiloted and obviously would only work in stations/outposts, but this seems like it would be really handy for anyone trying to set up pre-fit ships for others.

[Edit] Would also be handy for times when someone borrows a ship without all the skills for the fittings, and wants to give it back in the same condition that they got it (with everything online).

Just save the fit, hit 'strip', and then 'fit' again.

Didn't think of that, will have to try it out. Thanks.

Don't even need to save, cause the only reason to buy prefit ships are for fleet doctrines, which are usually already saved in corp fittings.

Tried loading saved fittings, but unless I'm missing something this will only apply to the active ship, which takes skills into account (and thus would offline modules you aren't skilled for.)

I'm looking for a way to have modules online that you aren't skilled for (either lacking the requirements for that module, or lacking sufficient cpu/powergrid skills.) At least until you jump into the ship, at which point it would offline insufficient modules as normal.

Also to clarify, I'm thinking about selling pre-fit ships (with all of the fittings online and ready to go), not buy them.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you're fitting these ships to sell. If that is the case, why bother trying to online modules? That is up to the buyer, not you, and most everyone know it since most industry toons don't have skills to fit the crap they build.

Convenience for the buyer, so they don't undock in the ship, get to where they're going, and realize they can't use modules when it's too late (for instance hunting someone, only to have that person get away because a warp scrambler was offline)

I mean, basically I would classify this as a "little thing." It would probably not be something most players would ever care about or need, but it would be a nice option to have all the same.

They get a warning about undocking with offline modules.
