That refers to speech, and not the written word. Usually happens during edits for me. Weird!

Edit: ha, see? I used "weird" in my first quote. Ugh.

Cara, I think a good bunch of the NCQA regulars suffer from the "must answer this question" condition

Hey guy's I really appreciate all the responses thus far been really helpful especially for fits! ISK isn't too much of an issue currently, but another question I now have, do to PVP properly does it require a lot of play time? I've been speaking with a lot of people who say that EVE can be played at you're own pace depending on what it is you'd like to do.

I can't really spend an entire day in game, preferring to play for a few hours each evening, does PVP not really fit this sort of timetable?

To directly answer this, in the context of lowsec/FW:

1) If you fly solo, 2-3 hours is perfectly fine. In Gallente/Caldari space at least, it should always take you less than 30 minutes to find a fight. Just keep in mind soloing is not easy: if you want to be good at it, it'll take you months. If you don't care if you die 9 times out of 10 and just want to have fun, then no problem

2) If you fly with gangs/small fleets, it simply depends on how active your friends are. People aren't constantly PVPing 23/7, so you might have to wait an hour or two for something to 'happen'. But again, if on avg you have 2-3 hours per day and you log on in EU - or, even better, US - prime time, you're fine

3) You need to factor in some time for 'logistics' - that is, replenishing the dozens of ships that you will get exploded :) Some corps may help you out with this though

Make space glamorous! Is EVE dying or not? Ask the EVE-O Death-o-meter!

To give you an idea.

I hardly actually play EVE (I log in often but usually this is just to stay in touch with people in EVE and stay up to date on stuff).
But whenever I have a couple of hours, I can go out and shoot other people. So yes, EVE is very casual friendly, even for certain styles of PvP.

I underlined the important part. Some types of PvP are more "RL friendly" then others. Take for instance SOV null during a war, this means it's time to defend / attack systems which require more time and manpower then for instance being a low sec pirate who can do what he wants when he wants.

Your plan of FW, very RL first friendly, if you find a nice corp that agrees with that (and there are plenty of those).

What kind of T2 module costs 50 million ISK?

T2 guns are about 500k each, as is a T2 DC. Other modules might be a bit more expensive, but pretty much all my frigate fits are between 4 and 10 million ISK, using T2 where needed. And the more expensive fits are due to Meta4 modules, not T2 modules.

Are you trying to buy your ships in a low-sec station with an overpriced market?

And then, if you are in FW, just do a plex from time to time. A single novice plex at tier 2 is worth around 10 million ISK, enough to pay for 1-2 frigates.

I know a couple, but they are not in New Citizen's reach anyway.

Lots of us play like that - just logging in for a couple of hours a night. In a good active corp, you will soon learn who else is on the same time as you are.

And if you want to solo, you should have no trouble finding trouble within a few minutes of undocking.

I undock for 1 - 2 hours a night, almost exclusively doing solo Frig PvP and will typically get 3 - 6 good fights in that time. On the quiet nights, you just finish more plex timers and make more isk.
