Private Killboards

Are the days of personal killboards forever dead?


I want to setup a private killboard to track all of my alts pvp stats on, in a non public forum. Options?

i'd recommend to use zkillboard, as EDK is a lot of pain.

It's a bit of a weapon when you have tons of mails.. looking at some of the SQL queries is upsetting :(

I'm using EDK - three installations of it, in fact - without any issue. It's actually much smoother to deal with now than it was when I set up my first killboard nearly a year ago, they've done some significant improvements (in my opinion) to it recently. I use it on both a VPS and a shared hosting service without any issues.

On the other hand, I tried my dangest to install a private copy of zKill, and failed, miserably, at it. I honestly don't know if they've since developed a proper install script for it yet.

They do offer the ability to make subdomains there (such as http://yes.zkillboard.com) - just create an account, add an api key, and the subdomain is created automatically. You can use that as a killboard (but it's not private, of course).

Both EDK and zKill use the same back-end database of killmails, as far as I know.
