how do you identify a mission hub area from just a normal area? also same question regarding trade hub? am guessing on dotlan if an area has loads of npc kills then this could be a mission hub area?

thanks

trade hubs are easy, they are generally in easy areas and are the well stocked ones, just fly around and you will know when you see one.

Mission hubs are a little different. Bet thing to do is to find a popular corp, open the agent finder and look at their locations for L4's and open dotlan and look at the traffic, NPC and player kills in that system and surrounding, just be aware when you do that that if that level 4 mission agent is in a system on a trade or travel route to more heavy used areas the traffic isnt a good estimate. for example, if there is an L4 mission agent in Niarja you should know that niarja is a main route going to and from Jita so get a LOT of traffic.

You can get a pretty good idea from using the in-game Starmap stats.

For Mission Hubs check the Starmap statistic :

- Pirate and Police Ships Destroyed in the Last 24 Hours

For Trade Hubs check the Starmap statistic :

- Jumps in the Last Hour
- Number of Pilots Currently Docked and Active

Also opening the Market window will show the main Trade Hub for each region. Basically it will be the location that has a majority of Buy/Sell orders listed.

Mission hubs for SoE (arguably the most popular corp to run missions for in hisec): Apanake, Lanngisi, Osmon

Major hisec trade hubs: Jita, Amarr, Rens, Dodixie, Hek

There are of course other trade hubs, such as Misaba, and other mission hubs for other factions/corps, such as Umokka.

Not bad. This seems like a good start to finding "Your" mission hub.
