best server or place to learn solo pvp

recently ive been in a slasher t1 named fit and just roaming to random low sec/null sec and seeing a trend of nuets

1)will only engage when in gang
2)will run away
3)will fight when they know they can win IE missile inty for example will always engage me. dont know if its my skills as a nub or what.
do people fight with chance anymore? slasher vs slasher example, slasher vs rifter without calling for backup

what happened to the days when pvpers had spines(was this ever the case)?
I mean the ship and fittings don't even cost 10mil. is there a good place or server to learn ?
would the test server be a better place to go to try to learn? that way they don't have to worry about losing 10mill or a kill mail to the board?

Test server is cheap, everything costs 1 isk, but you may find it's even harder to find someone to shoot at.

You might try checking the recruitment forms and get yourself into a corp that does roams. Solo PVP is a rare occupation these days, alts... everywhere.

There's a million angry citizens looking down their tubes..at me.

Test server is generally empty, so not a great place to gain much experience.

There are players that will take on virtually any fight, especially 1v1, but a lot of players can be averse to fights at times (not a criticism at all. We each have different aims when we play and not the same tolerance for risk).

Three possibilities:

1. Look at the top pilot lists on zkill and scan down until you find a pilot that primarily solo pvps. Look where they fly and move to that general area. There are several of these pilots around in lowsec

2. Click my sig if you're AU or EU timezone. Anyone that wants to solo through small gang is welcome if we are a good match. No need even to join. Can just come fly with us anytime.

3. I'm normally around Ostingele, but roam through GalCal. More than happy to fight anytime you like.

RvB is highsec.

Ok for fighting, but can get boring quickly if you have any prior pvp experience.

If you want to play Faction Battleships Online(TM) with all the autistic regulars then sure.

My best advice would be for you to try Faction Warfare space (Black Rise is a pretty cool place with some pretty cool dudes). Where you will be able to sort of pick your fights with ease.

If you're new to the game, Faction Warfare space contains complexes with acceleration gates. Novice, Small, Medium and Large.
And they only allow certain sized ships to enter. Novice = only T1 frigates for example.
So set a waypoint through a few active systems and go look for people in Novice complexes (they will be in your overview by default and in your signatures window).

Sure you will run into people with boosts, people baiting for a fleet, or stabbed LP farmers, but it's the perfect place to find decent frigate fights.

This signature intentionally left blank

What's large gang by your standards?

As for Elite, no one is really. Everyone jusy plays as best they can. There are a lot of solo pvpers out there, but space is just big, so they can be hard to find at times.

If your flying in lowsec and not in FW systems, then you'll have fewer pvp opportunities. FW is the place to go in lowsec if you want lots of fights.

Confirming Black Rise is a good place for soloing.

Small tip: solo means YOU are solo, not necessarily your opponent(s). Make it a mid-term objective to learn how to fight 1v 3 or so, you'll get lots more targets that way.

The basic strategy is breaking up your opponents, for example:

1. You start far away (eg. warping @100), they burn towards you, if you're lucky one of them is faster and dumb and reaches you alone --> blap before his friends catch up

2. Make them chase you around the system (or thru multiple systems) until they decide to split up to trap you; try to get one alone and far from his friends --> blap. You can also take advantage of gate mechanics for this (guns, aggro, etc.)

It's not easy and you'll die a lot, but it's fun, satisfying and gets you much more fights.

Make space glamorous! Is EVE dying or not? Ask the EVE-O Death-o-meter!

You could check out Redemption-Road too for small gang pvp, they're running open roams.

Just be careful around Greygal or she'll jabber your ears off P

Currently, do not expect much about solo pvp ... It should be a background task to your other Eve activities. As a main focus, it will quickly get very frustrating...

Anyone engaging will do so because they believe they have the edge on you,. This is a game of odds, and they are rarely in favor of the truly solo pvper... Most of the good solo,PVPers have in fact a ton of intel sources, and engineer situations where they force their opponent to commit and make a mistake first...

not necessarily, try to find people to play with instead P

eve is not a very good single player experience.
