And twice as expensive as Spain, too.

Also, who likes German weather? The only good thing you can say about German weather is that it's not Belgian or Icelandic weather! Lol

Who likes the lazy Spanish people that don't even work for 8 hours straight and have to take a nap during the day.

sorry, not anymore.

Why should a company full of vikings and viqueens rent an office in spain?
They take what they want as history proves.

8/7/2006 3:39:36 PM UTC FreeCCP Promotional Game Time 7 Days Paid

6/1/2012 5:48:57 PM UTC PayPal 1 x 1 Month EVE Subscription + Signup €19.95 Paid

CCP took 6 years to convert me to a (still) paying subscriber :)

I was thinking about their foreign talent, you know, the ones who may prefer roasted sausages to rotten shark as traditional cuisine goes.

They've already got an office in the UK, they could just move CCP HQ over there. Not too far from Iceland, more population, supposedly some decent talent there, can take the train over from Europe, probably more attractive to European talent, government gives decent benefits to game companies I think? Though, I bet CCP gets a lot of back rubs from the Icelandic government.

I once was in Llorret de mar at the beach, like our version of springbreak vacation ... at least one of the places to go and party for a week for european uhm ... students. I think it is close to Barcelona, but I overslept and didn't make it to the bus that would have taken me on a daytrip to that city. So I went to the beach instead again.

So yeah, Barcelona is probably nice.

Don't anger the forum gods.

Spain with 33% unemployment rate and spanish / catalan talking? Worst and most ridiculous idea ever!

The sad thing is that CCP must be willing to cut costs (just see the ATXII crappy-looking studio), so real state is an issue.

Just move everybody to the US. If you still want to work there, you will need to move, not to whine. I bet CCP Fozzie never looked back at the chance to change countries and the commentators are thrilled to travel there.

So why it must be different for people from Iceland to move somewhere else? Need to have an open mind and get out this tiny country who is probably holding CCP back anyways.

If CCP HQ was already at US I bet MLG would host several competitions already.

PS: I'm not from US, I'm being completely objective, game and money only.

Detroit sounds like a good idea, I think office rents are at an all time low.
CCP could buy up most of the estates and turn the "Motor City" into a "Spaceship City". Pirate

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

ITT: people who want to work for CCP and who want CCP to open up an office 10 minutes from where they live.

The greatest irony is that my own RL trade is completely unrelated to CCP's jobs requirements. I am being totally frank with my suggestion to move their foreign talent to a more liveable place than Iceland, and I exposed the pros and cons of my own city out of a conversation where the unexploited IT potential of 22@ was the matter.

BTW, Barcelona's municipality is the only Spanish public administration whose debt rating is AA (down from being AA+ for years, bloody crisis!). My city is solidly in the blacks. Cool
