While the HICs are more or less fine I'd really like to know why DICs don't agress when they use their bubbles? Honestly they only are useful in nullsec in PVP bubbles have no pve value so why do they not cause aggression. Orginaly if someone warped while in a bubble it would agress meh but what ever then ccp changed them to agress on bubble launch great now we are talking but for some reseaon ccp reversed this beyond what it was now interdictors do not agress even if someone warps they bubble nothing unless they fire guns/missles they don't get aggression. I would love to know why a basicly pvp only **** with a PVP only mod ie the bubble launcher doesn't get aggression anymore.

That's because it's technically a deployable, and not something the ship directly interacts with on a target. This issue solves itself since the law isn't present out in null or wh space where this happens, but I can see where the issue of contention comes from.

That being said, I think if they merged some of the code from Drones, namely sentries into interdiction spheres, the same kind of aggression laws could apply; they'd just make the drone give off an AoE bubble like the hictors do except with the same stats as current interdiction bubbles. To be fair, after putting it that way, I can see why it would be a lot more work that it's worth...

No its not a deployable anymore then a missle is its loaded in a launcher and fired by using the modual. I can see how you can think its a deployable since it does sit there but the opject doesn't stay perm like most deployables not counting the new ones like the sensor and cyno blockers. which you launch like normal from cargo. The interdiction probe is fired form a launcher not cargo. and when you get down to it no deployable is as pvp effecting as a bubble which has a direct impact on pvp and remember they use to give aggression on warp and then on launch while id like to see them agress just on use id take the old style over the current no aggression at all.

The issue is an aggression timer - dictors can bubble up and immediately jump gate/dock up - not sec stuff.

Jester wrote a blog or two on this a while back that I'm too lazy to dig up, but essentially the other side of the argument felt it unfair that you had to sacrifice your dictor when using it to defensively bubble gates while fleeing. Plus some other things.

Blanking signatures doesn't seem to work, so this is here.
