"The Hyperion Disaster" What will we do to respond?

I have been living in Wspace for the last couple of years and after the learning curve our corp had just started to thrive. There are plenty of threads addressing the negatives of what can rightfully be called "The Hyperion Disaster". I would like to call on the active WH pilots to participate in a a community wide response. As many have stated CCP is hard of hearing when it comes to W space. I propose that instead of tears over the changes we organize a community wide response. My corp is small so are some of yours but together we make a VERY large group of disgruntled folks. What are your ideas?

I am NOT crazy they made me take my medication this morning!

Sadly I have heard several people going this route. I agree with the idea of not paying for something you no longer enjoy but it would take a rather large group leaving to get anyone at ccp to notice. They seem to be rather quiet on the issue of Hyperion and what it did to Wspace. I am interested in seeing pitchforks sharpened, light the torches.

How about you respond by constructively posting on positive changes that could be made instead of just saying how bad it is and how sharp your pitchfork is gonna be?

If your corp was really starting to thrive in WH space, nothing about this patch should endanger that. Please explain to me how it would and I'll explain why you must adapt or die.

Yeah, well, it's just like my opinion, man.

Since the patch we have had 1 combat site to spawn, and have spent several evenings mapping chains for anoms or other sigs. While we found a few they were to far down the pipe to really run. Ive got guys drifting back to Kspace looking for content. If anyone can tell me how to get our savior BoB to bless us with more sites, or other content I will get the shuttles ready to sacrifice!

Try sacrificing a rifter or other fast combat frigate. Load it with drugs, amo, quafe and strippers. Fit it to be fast, do as much dps as possible and have absolutely zero tank. Then go out into w-space and look for a random follower and challenge them to a fight on the sun.

Alternatively you could do what Aquila suggests, but that's a lot less fun and bob will not be pleased.

There was already a "community wide response" in this sub-forum before and after the release. You're a little late to the party.

CCP isn't hard of hearing, I'm sure they're aware of all the feedback. But they made a couple of mistakes. They apparently underestimated the magnitude and importance of certain changes like mass/spawn distance. They did run a feedback thread on the K162 changes through this sub-forum awhile back before investing the dev time. And that was successful. But not mass/spawn distance. That one made it all the way to SiSi before the community discovered it. By then it was too late, the dev time had been invested and it was going to get implemented in one form or another.

The key to getting what you want isn't to stage a protest after-the-fact. That is too late. The lesson here is to get involved as early as possible. Keep your CSM's honest and only bringing community-supported ideas to CCP. Elect CSMs that have good ideas of their own. Demand more dev-sponsored feedback threads like the one we got for the K162 changes. Ask for an earlier look at the big changes so there's still an opportunity to change things significantly or dump the idea entirely.

What a useless attempt....

Why should I say again that wspace wasn't broken. It didn't need much of a change more than a few tweeks here and there. That wspace was something to be expanded on and not raped on. Maybe as a middle ground for something else, but no. Our engineers at BullTec Inc think that this is the way to go and thanks God All Mighty for our Autism!

Oh! RIGHT! I SAID IT BEFORE!

Yes. Wormholespace wasnt broken. Thats why almost every c5 was filled to the brim with pvpers. None of this merging of bigger groups into mega blocks ever happened before Hyperion. You would always have content in your static and never had to roll for hours through empty systems. Doctrines were diverse and you always had to think outside the box. There was never a complaint to see on forum and chains would never end in a 5-5 or 4-4 endless highway of despair. Yes that is how I remember it too. Never been stagnant. Ever.

We do the same thing that we did when CCP first released WH's, we adapt and overcome.

Most people seem to hate the fact that your mass dictates how far away you land from the hole. so here's the solution....

Dont live in a c5 unless you can support your rolling crew. There its been said. Instead move down a class or two and take advantage of the changes. Live in a c2 wolf-rayet and dunk scrubs coming in through your k162's (oh and btw arty wolfs in c2 are dumb they get like 420dps and like 2800volley dmg with a sig radius of 19.2 or 60 with mwd).

Better yet live in a c2 WR with null and C5 then you can still roll c5 chains and ninja sites or roll into an empty c5 with 20+ combat sites in it and setup your expo with your capital alts from kspace. All while your rolling your null static and dunking nullbears with your blops bs and bombers.

.......... OR you can just come join VVOOF since we already do that ;p

VVOOF is recruiting able pvpers for WH BLOPS operations
