Rank Anal Hypocrisy

I am talking about the pod pilot and ganker formerly known as Anal Canal.


You might recognize him as the progenitor of the recent, highly successful 'Venture and Pod' ganking contest that recently cost CCP thousands of dollars in future subscription fees. So many budding young careers, tragically snuffed out. I shed a single tear.

I am outraged to learn he has wrongfully (and hypocritically) been renamed to CALDARI CITIZEN 14330909 by the CCP staff.

You might be asking yourself, Hypocrisy? Where?

Please allow me to explain.

1. A man I highly respect - James315 - has enthusiastically promoted Anal on www.minerbumping.com.
What can I say, the man's heart is full of love, and he accepts everyone - whatever their proclivities and motivations.

2. Its self-evident that our Community Leader, CCP Falcon, is a big fan of Anal. Not so sure about ISD Ezwal, though.

3. I've seen our resident troll, Mr Epeen, relentlessly pursue Anal through many of the ganking theads that have come and gone lately. And don't let him deny it.

My own opinion? I'll happily suggest that Anal belongs in prison. And I'd be the first to throw away the key.
But I've ALWAYS been a social reactionary. Unreformed to the bitter end in this new, swishier, lispier age I am horrified to find myself in.

But CCP isn't. All about 'leaning forward' and chock full of Zoe Quinn-type SJWs, CCP is simply infested with individuals who are completely shameless about parading their own....biasses.

As such, CCP should be ALL ABOUT encouraging Anal. In local. In the forums. At FanFest. Wherever.

So grow up, give the guy a break and give him his name back.Roll

Or at least be consistent and rename the literally hundreds of other characters with 'anally-oriented' names, not just the one that belongs to a well known CODE. member.

Some of the names I see on a daily basis in Eve make his name look "g-rated". If CCP is going to start banning names, at least be consistent about it. In this case, it really looks like a case of selective targeting. Besides, it's like the filter doesn't even try when you create character names...why allow it to be created, and then say it's "inappropriate". Well...that's my 2 isk anyways...

If I had a nickel for every time someone said women don't play eve, I'd have a bag of nickels to whack the next person who said it..

+1. Also, this serves to further support my suspicion that Epeen is actually a dev posting on his 'main' if you get my drift.

Again, asserting nothing, just wondering out loud.

I don't think Epeen is trolling. He's just standing up against people he finds toxic.

I will +1 this OP though; if you are going to change someone's name after 7 years, give them the option to pick a new name. That's just disrespectful what they've done.

Its funny, I'd actually suggested to Anal Canal that he post a "Rename My Character" contest thread! Thought he might get some....interesting suggestions.

We let these companies try to make us ashamed of certain parts of our bodies, we read articles in Family Circle magazine about an epidemic of anorexia and bulimia in young girls because they have a negative image of their bodies.

Why has no one made the connection?

In an enlightened society, people are seen as beautiful in their entirety. The are no "bad" body parts. There is no part of the human body which should be looked upon with shame, or considered "dirty" or "offensive." CCP, I hereby flick a booger on your windshield!

I would recommend the name "Anal Avenger" but, it appears it's already taken. 333 toons in the game with the word 'Anal' in it and some of them are actually quite repulsive.

I reckon the namespace is highly sought after territory, with popular Anal themed characters fetching top dollar in the Bazaar.

I'd bet Anal Assassin is probably taken too.
