I see what you did there, and I reject your attempt to make it appear that I was smacking snuff. Snuff rolls deep, and my main has been on the receiving side of said mach before :)

My point is, if we are going to making the "clubbing baby seals" analogy -- let's be fair about it :)

Im not sure you have made any valid point. The hardest part of ganking a freighter to me is justifying all those tags to maintain a sec status for mostly empty freighter kills.

You might be surprised.

For starters, most "full time" New Order agents / gankers just stay -10 security status. We won't even get into the effort required to get 20 people to work together as a single unit. When it comes to anti-freighter operations in high-sec, literally one player shooting 1 second before he should have can cost us the kill.

I highly recommend you give high-sec freighter ganking a shot - trust me when I say there is a lot more to it then just being awake and pressing f1 when told :)

Because killing idiots in high sec is less warfare more clubbing seals.

This not in any way dispelling the tear generation factor, which is admirable, but its still less warfare more clubbing seals.

Here's what I want you to do.

Gather over 20 players and pull of a anti-freighter run in highsec.

That's it. If it's as "easy as clubbing seals" - we can expect results soon, right?

Don't get me wrong, I admire Snuff Box - but I'm going to have to vote that hotdropping lone battleships with supercaps falls a bit more under the clubbing seals category then high-sec freighter ganking, don't you think? :)

Yeah SNUFD, like you guys could ever get more than 20 people in fleet, and as if any of them could afford a bumping mach!

This is completely not relevant but.

Your Griffin permajammed my Loki for an entire fight the other day.

Leave me alone please ;_;

(On topic, its entirely possible that killing freighters is more difficult than I imagine)

Here's what I want you to do.

Read what you just wrote once again, and try finding out all 7 things wrong with it.

Get back to me when you're done for evaluation.

It takes effort for you guys to get 20 people to work together as a single unit? That is the bare basics of running any fleet in the game.

If you think it takes effort to as much as run a 20 man fleet, you don't have a whole lot to brag about...

You clearly haven't spent too much time looking through our killboards, where we've more or less roflsmashed everyone we met there too (and without losses unlike highsec!).

In fact I did a blog post about how funny it was. www.lawofhighsec.com (scroll down to "lowsec easysec")

no self-respecting CODE pilot cares about sec status. a -10 can fly a talos around high sec with an i-stab or 2. I'm in CODE so If you ever want to join the dark side and gank an innocent carebear in a freighter, let me know. It's worth doing once just to try everything EVE has to offer Pirate

Also, ganking empty freighters keeps us from getting bored, bored gankers leave fleet, and you cant gank the 8 bil freighter coming down the pipe if no one is in fleet.

We scoop enough loot to turn a good profit over time. Freighter ganking is what keeps us in the catalysts we need to blow up bot-aspirant miners Big smile
