You should let us mine the mysterious gold rocks, and the other mysterious rocks found within asteroids of the cloven variety.

Golden Rocks of Mystery.

I want to mine that mysterious gold rock and add mysterious gold trimming to my ships! Smile

I agree with both of you that a new era in mining needs to be born. Those exotic looking roids with gold and the geodes could be mined and then reverse engineered and then added to the normal minerals to create new alloys that would give certain bonuses to manufacturing such as reduced amount of mineral need for mineral type X or the new alloy would in fact create bonuses for the modules that the alloys of made from.

For example the Gold Exotica is reverse engineered into Golden Dream Mineral. Golden Dream Mineral is then added to Tritanium to increase its market value by 10% where the Golden Tritanium when used in manufacturing reduces the total amount of Tritanium used by 10%.

When used to build a ship the Golden Tritanium would increase a base value of the ship that is selectable by the manufacturer such as velocity increase of 5%, cargo hold increase of 5%, capacitor storage increase of 5%.

I think the above idea would be very fun for the manufacturer to undertake as well as adding a whole new layer to the environment to better elevate Eve Online from the Frog Pond of WoW.

Keep your ideas coming subscribers and never mind the trolls that have nothing better to do than sit in a station and run scams all day long.

They think nothing should change because they never leave the station and haven't experienced anything.
