I have always been a fan of assault frigates, but we currently lack a proper ship for support for them. Would anyone be interested in a T2 Burst or a T2 Navitas?

I think if they made a new destroyers that did logistics it would be sorta interesting.

Is that my two cents or yours?

Only problem with that, is that the Inquisitor (Amarr logi frig) already has a T2 variant - Purifier

This is true, but otherwise this could add some interesting fleet comps for small gang roams. But I have only been playing for a year.
Maybe there's a reason i dont know of as to why this hasnt already been implemented.

A T2 Logi Destroyer would fill the gap between the Cruiser and Frigate Logi hulls that would release the Cruiser Hulls to help support the Logi Hulls while the Destroyer Hulls supported both the Frigate and Cruiser Hulls rather effectively.

It's supposed to be the Tormentor, honestly.

Tristan (combat frigate) -> Nemesis
Breacher (combat frigate) -> Hound
Kestrel (combat frigate) -> Manticore
Inquisitor (logi frigate!?) -> Purifier.

Something's... wrong here. P

How do you do a T2 Logi frigate in such a way that doesn't step on either the Cruiser hulls or T1 Frigate hulls. The T1 logi frigates don't get used much simply because frigates are so frail logi don't get to play much. If you take enough alpha local reps won't keep up, you probably are insti dead. If a T2 logi frigate was tough, it has to have less rep power than a T1 logi frigate, or it starts to take over from the cruisers.

Ewwwwww... no more logi. It just turns fights into a tedious brawl rather than a murderous frenzy.

apparently you missed the AT match where a burst pair kept one alive through 26000+ damage dealt to it before it finally went down. Cruisers died to less damage.

Moral of the story....bursts flown really well do great things. Its a poor carpenter who blames his tools as well.

- again -

No ships because: imaginary list has gaps

No T2 frig logi needed, all logi roles are implemented.

Covops T2 logi frigates.

That's about the only role I could see for a T2 burst.

I agree, just saying if it were to happen anyways a destroyer might be a good spot for it

Is that my two cents or yours?

I would much rather see a T2 "logi" frigate that focused much more on things like remote SeBoing than repair.

Probably, but it's the only niche not filled, unless you count T3s or whatever those AT ships were called.

Don't listen to the rest of the top of their game monkeys as they don't want any new ships because it means they would no longer be top of the game and would actually have to do something new.

Your idea does in fact warrant merit Bear for the simple reason that if a new subscriber who is a veteran gamer like myself since the day of Starflight for SEGA and Combat for Atari and even Black and White Pong, sees a constantly immersive and evolving environment they will in fact remain a subscriber longer than if everything stays the same because some forum troll little imp doesn't like it.

Providing as much content to a new subscriber means that the subscriber has allot of options or doors in this dungeon of Eve-Online to open to find their gold or their next + 10 spear in. A large cavern with many rooms and little treasure will make the subscriber angry because of the hard work they put into finding the little bit of scraps left behind. Too much treasure in all of the rooms means that the subscriber will become angry because they maxed out their adventure too fast. If you don't understand what I am referring to then you have no idea how this online adventure is be played.

New ships represent both the door, treasure chest and treasure within the room all at the same time. That when the pilot leaves the station in their Tri-Level 3 ship they will be able to continue on their adventure.

So quit trying to direct the adventure back to the cave that you live in Nubs because the monster is present in every wall watching your every move and ready to eat you soul for trying to be a ....Dungeon Master.

Now please continue Mr. Bear with your idea.

Says it all - A station camper who never leaves the station and hates new ship ideas that might come true and take pilots away from the station to find their treasure so he cannot scam them out it.

Thank you sir! and I completely agree that games should not stay static. A constant changing environment in a way makes a new game every patch. If game mechanics didn't change the player base would slowly go elsewhere for their pew pew pew content.

I was considering which ship would make a fun and balanced logi. A variant of the Ishkur with bonuses to repair drones instead of the hybrid might work. Another way to keep them balanced might be allowing remote reps to fit scripts. These scripts could either add range at the expense of capacitor need or add a boost to hp at the expense of range.

It would just be good to field logi frigs where they last longer than the initial engagement. I could see Faction Warfare greatly benefiting from this, along with null sec. As it is frig logi is very much underused, once a new bro can fly a cruiser sized logi they rarely go back.

For this to work right they would have to be able to fit massive reps with decent cap maybe 5 reps for 30 seconds. However the ships are made of paper and leave little room for tank and other things.
