Doing PVE in a WH was usually done with control over the statics and any incoming holes (true for both low class and higher afaik). Typically these are rolled or pushed to VOC before ratting. This means that it would be unlikely to find people ratting without giving away your presence in some way (nu sig on scanner / probes). Some would argue that this was part of the rationale for the changes, to make wspace more dangerous and less lock-in mentality.

Since the patch its fair to assume, the net outcome is a likely reduction in people attempting this, at least until they figure out how to handle the increased risks. It could be that the risks no longer make it worthwhile in low class holes, in which case you have the answer to your question.

Increased risk and not really any reward with how the prices of melteds are not really going anyplace reasonable for WHs to be good, lower class that is. The very simple counteract is to guard everything but that means either multiboxing which can be ultimate fail, or more people, which is not also an option for everybody.

Yet at the same time it is not consistently unsafe. A few days ago, I harvested a full cloud in two different wormholes which contained active moving around ships. Either they were oblivious, scarred or just couldn't be troubled to snap at a venture.

Pretty much we scan 30 holes a day, see nothing and no one, and set pointless ultimatums to ourselves and deadlines to move out. But...nullsec...

The problem is that some people don't know how to make their own content. They wouldn't sit around POS spinning all day if they knew how to pvp.

Intoxication is the most effective of warp scramblers.

Who cares about the cloaky t3, it takes a stealth bomber to have a chance of catching a covops, if it randomly decloaks me on a safespot...

I'm not looking for sharks in this sea, and I've seen a couple of those in any case. I'm looking for the fish, and there were none. And with 3+ Wormholes in any system i've passed through or cloaked up in, i completly understand why there's never anybody out there running sites. Obviously i've done a fair share of warping s to get dscans across the system.

Either way, my original question was: wth are people DOING in whs. See nobody ratting for day, there's no constant belts for mining, there's no moon goo. It very much looks to me, like wormholes are a circle-jerk of cloaky pvpers, with the exception of c5/6 where capitals provide income and security at the same time.

From what i've seen, living in any lower class wh is pointless, and the lack of pve activity proves my chain of thought. If i wanted lower class WH stuff, i'd RAID wormholes with a bunch of cloakys, and keep my base in K space. Why live there?

You are a very smart person noticing all the current low-class wh facts. At the moment there is no reason to live in low-class whs except you like to have your own worthless piece of space. I like my own worthless piece of space. That's why i stay. Smile

PS.: To the topic. Waiting that new dewellers move into w-space but this will last a while if they all smart persons like you.

I run a c1 solo and I'm usually out cleaning up sites, ninja'ing sites from any other c1/c2s that happen to connect to my hole or spawn in the static. Yesterday, a stratios poked his nose in my chain, so I shipped into an algos despite my awful PvP skills and went and scrammed him. He was stabbed.
If there are interesting things in the static, I'll do those, too. Lowsec makes that dangerous, though.

Getting the last couple weeks worth of PI before moving last few ships out, and waiting on subs with a plex stashed to expire.

Reading the forums and dev posts while playing other games, and despairing of any meaningful change that could possibly encourage us to continue playing Eve while waiting for Star Citizen to come out.

Looks like there is going to be a significant gap there, Too bad, My chars were just getting so they could fly some really cool stuff. And the few new players I managed to get in to Eve certainly won't be continuing on, the entire goal for them was to grow up in to wormhole folks.

Wait for enough people to log on to close holes. By wait I mean grind standings with some NPC corp so that I can run lvl 4s while playing chat online.

Wave if you see one of my alts chilling in a POS bubble.
