Overview Color Coding – Is this still possible?

In eve there´s always something that surprise you, even you playing for several years. Yesterday, talking to a friend who are not playing anymore, he told me that he played with a personal colour coded overview. I did not care too much because I was thinking about the normal stuff already possible in the overview setting, but when he show me some pictures I really get impressed.

He told me that there was a big thread about it, so I get at home and search for it, without luck. Today, with more careful attention I find it.

I do not try it yet, mostly because I do not really sure if this is already possible (big overview modification with the Hyperion release) and mainly because I do not know if this is still allowed by CCP (thread are now locked and buried deep on forum).

So, may someone enlighten me? If this is ok, I really want to do it. Make life much easier to distinguish between friend / foes and so on.
Thank you in advance.

Best way to answer your question is to make a change to your existing overview and save it like in the post you linked and look for the Overview file and see if it's still there etc. CCP may have updated or made some changes to it but I'm betting there still a file you can edit since you can still share overview settings etc. I would suggest putting a backup copy of what you find there now in a safe place before trying anything that way if you totally screw up you can just copy the backup over your changes in case client decides to no start or you otherwise have problems.
