The signs for the two are not that much different either. Gave the places a carnival esque feeling from the outside and delivered something close to that, to many children for many many years.

Oh man, where did you find that thing, Brujo? That guy can trigger a whole constellation of vague but bad memories.

Fast food restaurant assistant managers.
Open mic night amateur acoustic guitar strummers/ dramatic songwriters.
Nerdy high school science teacher comedians, who think their own weird jokes are funny.
Low-fee business management/motivation seminar speakers.
Kid birthday party MC dads.
Wedding speech guys who are keen on getting their hands on the mic.
U.S. government mandatory training speakers.
Tour conductors working on their chops.
The amateur guy on the PA trying to be entertaining on the minute during all day during charity event.
Witty museum docents.
Protestant church youth ministers.

That guy is sort of a Jungian archetype. The Person who Doesn't Know He has no Charisma, but is in Control of the Group and No One Will Ever Tell Him. Something like that.
