Do standings grant any advantage for industry?

Is there any advantage to doing invention or manufacturing in a NPC station you have high standings with (vs. one you have lower, maybe negative standings with)? Other than the broker fees for buying/selling on the market in that station, I can't see anywhere it would factor in.

As far as I'm aware - not directly.

If you are buying/selling your stuff they do affect the NPC tax on market. It is unfortunate that they do not do the same with the manufacturing NPC tax part.

Here, sanity... niiiice sanity, come to daddy... okay, that's a good sanity... THWONK! GOT the bastard.

I assumed after Crius was launched that the NPC tax would lower based on standings, but when I looked at the formulas used it's clear it isn't.

Anyway, thanks for confirming. I'm going to move my operations to a system I have weaker standings in but is less populated.

As Carniflex mentioned - No.

They remain relevant for market transactions (and most industry will still be heavily dependent on market transactions) but apart from that... the only other tangential effect is to get free datacores.

Enjoy!

datacores still cost 10,000 isk from agents

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.

Ooops... Oops

That just go to show how long it's been since I swung by to collect my now-no-longer-quite-free datacores!
