That's easy, get a time machine and get back in 2012, when the talos was faster, way more agile, and with no TE nerf.Pirate

Just slap in some acolytes and pop a drop booster and you'll be fine.

The Talos is perfectly fine for soloing, as long as you aren't afraid to bug out more than you actually fight.

Get Mid Grade Snakes, fit a warp speed rig, and drop an LSE for a web.

Tengu/Claymore as a booster will be mandatory, but its still doable. Just avoid anything with Sentries and you will make many kills.

Instead of roaming and either having your targets escape or turn in to 5 cause they're a local corp, make a remote sebo/rep alt and sit on a gate so you can take them on on your terms.

Bait ships are actually easy to avoid. Don't ram sketchy dudes in prophecies or nerei and you're good. It's trash like you with resebo camps that ruin people's gameplay experience.

As much as I enjoyed the duct feeding, I'll point out the obvious counters such as scouting, utilizing in game tools such as the available statistics on pilots in each system through the map while planning your route, knowing who lives in the area and recognizing/watch listing known campers, etc. Take proactive measures or complain on the forums.

I never said they weren't easy to avoid. It's just annoying when some tools camp a pipe with instalock t3s and 5 logi forcing you to take a 10 jump detour just got get from point A to point B. At that point I'd rather log off than waste my time with that ****.

Fighting in a Talos is all about target selection. You do the most gun DPS possible of just about any T1 hull and you're reasonably mobile, but you have a puny tank. They are most effective when you can warp in, land on your target at your optimal, vaporize it, and warp out quickly before any response can be mounted.

Soloing in a Talos depends on what you mean by "solo". If you're relying on a scout to find you targets and give you warp-ins, soloing in a Talos is great. If you're just roaming around looking for targets and hoping you get a good warp-in on one, it's not as great. Regardless, it is likely the best solo ship of any of the ABCs because of it's drone bay.
