Population numbers during NA timezones

Is it just me, or have the population numbers for the North American timezones been very low recently? I'm talking about as low as 19k during evenings at times. Anyone know what's up? Also, EVE is definitely NOT dying, so let's just get that out of the way.

I mean i start classes again in 6 days, ontop of working and a personal life.
I will still find some time for EvE though, give it a bit once the cold weather hits the numbers will go back up
