Hello

I've been doing some invention and i'm a bit confused about what i'm doing wrong and wondered if someone could help.

I wanted to invent a devoter bpc so i copied a maller print, got the materials needed to invent including the +3 ME decrytor and started the process. What i end up producing is a 1 run devoter print with ME 5 TE 10. Thats the best i can get.

I looked on contracts and there is one for sale with ME 9 TE 18. How is this possible if the best decrytor only gives +3 ME?

Pre-crius conversions.

Before Crius, the best you could get was ME -1. When the BPCs were converted to the Crius format, they ended up with MEs that can't be achieved today.

There's a limited supply of them, and someone observed that those BPCs are often 'better' to sell than manufacture from (I assume because people aren't doing the maths before buying them)

Also note that invention is still due a more comprehensive rework.

p.s. Why does the thread title say "PI"?

There's also a slight chance it's a copy from a BPO. I'm unsure if the Devoter has any out there.

It shouldn't. Invention hit in Revelations I in November 2006 and HICs weren't introduced until Trinity a year later.
