What happened to our studio guys? Where did all the stuff go

Now we are back, more action from ATXII!!!

But what happened to the physical part of the studio? Some questions:

- where is the beautiful (and proper sized) table
- where is the cat
- where are the smart leds beneath the glasses who helped knowing the match's time
- where are the GLASS glasses? (those are plastic right?)
- why is the AC at the commentators` cave worse than last year (if that's even possible... just look at Elise, he was dying out there)

Sad

Old desk was retired.
Cat went to Ireland with the amazing woman formerly known as CCP Alice.
LEDs were on the old desk, so presumably they're with the old desk.
The glasses this year are glass. The cups last year were plastic.
The studio this year is much cooler than it was last year believe it or not. It's still warm, but not so hot that we're all wearing shorts under the desk like last year.

The old desk made the tournament look more professional with work being put into it visually. Current desk looks boring. At least the background could have been fancier or colorful. But instead it just looks like 4 guys talking from a dungeon basement.

Then what is the point of the tournament?
And can you even call it Alliance Tournament when you have no Tournament Cat to name it after?

This ATXII is the worst ever.

"Retired" is a funny way to quote it.

You're the man Bach, I see a future for TV sports (regular- pay more) announcer / commentator for you. Really! Big smile

YAY, now it can be a real Tournament again!
You have been sorely missed, I hope you will hotdrop the studio.

Or maybe place yourself on various items, such as ship models, lights, tables and more.

I like how the new desk looks like it is floating in space, think that is really nifty.

However, the new desk makes ya'll look really crowded and kinda smooshed together. It doesn't look very comfortable to sit at. The old desk had you guys more at an angle to each other, so you looked like you were talking to each other instead of across each other.

I miss the cat.

Drink the water!

P.S. Think the commentators are doing FANTASTIC!! I especially love the pairing of Fozzie and Apothne, their excitement feeds off of each other brilliantly!

The new desk is perfectly comfortable :) Gargant can't stop playing with the button that makes the light colour change.

I think the only problem is the desk wasn't designed for viking giants.

By the way Apothne, your reaction along with Baccanalians reaction to the Hydra Reloaded mass boundary violation is destined to be considered an Alliance Tournament classic.

It's bound to be immortalized in tournament clips and videos (including mine) for years.

It's a close second to MB3's reaction to Vargurs (<3 Huns), that's for sure.
I hope our ad/film makers will take full advantage of the jaw-drop moments.

And of course, the somewhat negative comments about Broadswords is up there as well.

Agreed with all of the above, really. You guys are doing a great job. It's just vaguely uncomfortable to see you all sitting squashed together. I keep getting the vibe that while the matches are going on, you're playing musical chairs at the desk. I'm forever expecting the camera to cut back to the desk and only three people will be sitting there, though having more room than before. Maybe that should be a thing. After every set of matches, someone comes in and takes a chainsaw to the desk, forcing the commentators to fight over who can remain. Winner gets...the chainsaw?

Best,

The only discomfort about the desk is the mess of wires connecting to all of our microphones underneath it. Given the delicate connection situation, if one of us stretches a leg out we unplug all the mics and make the crew very sad. I suspect that since the desk is like a week old, it'll eventually get sorted so those have a way to be run along the underside of the desk eliminating that problem and letting the commentators bend their knees more than once in 4 hours next time. All good though, I'm just happy the studio is in an air conditioned building. :D
