Can dev explain why Nestor battleship can be built with 1/5 mass of a normal battleship and similar structure hitpoint compare to other battleship?
especially why Angel Cartel use some Jove technology but haven't built ships as light as Nestor? they also target to build a high speed vessel.

It uses Jove technology which is ahead of the technology available to the four empires.

The Jove are sort of the Deus Ex Machina of Eve. When you need a plausible excuse for why something seems a little off when compared to other things, invoking the Jove gives you an easy way out of the conundrum.

Show us on the doll where the bad Nestor Pilot touched your wormhole.

Normal battleships use a surprising amount of toilet rolls — the structural integrity per weight isn't stellar.

Would be a plausible, except you would have to explain the Briggs & Stratton lawnmower engine it uses for propulsion.

Legacy Code and Pssssssssssssh.

Because the Legacy Code has too much Psssssssssssssssh, nothing will ever get fixed until CCP stop wasting money on failed sparkle MMOs and instead rewrite the entire backend of EvE from scratch.

It has less mass because it is hollow inside... like a stripper or redhead or goth kid. If only CCP gave it enough of the proper amount of love to properly define it!

its made out of plastic i think

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

SOE apparently Lore wise, did studies on the EVE-gate. So it's possible during the wormhole collapse that split the old earth explorers, from earth, caused some sort of 'super' Polymer type material that can be found near by.

That would be my made up explanation though. =P

Could be the way they moved the drive systems to the ring results in a lower gravitic mass signature? I think that works with technobabble...

Women have less mass than men. So they make their ships lighter.

It's 90% empty, it's like a cruiser hull with a massive ring around it.

Actually there is no technology behind the Nestor. What you'll find is that the Nestor is an entry on a data base that has a graphical representation and has a list of property's one of which being it's mass, altering this number will ether raise or lower it's mass. (I'm not a programmer so correct me if I'm wrong)

This is a computer game best try and not invent 'technology' to explain stuff and just accept that stuff does stuff.
