Toon movement is not possible

I decided to re post this [correction] with a new Subject, because my first post was far off target. But the point, toon movement in the CQ is not possible, is the point I mean to make. And, I believe I'm correct, toon movement in the CQ is not possible (whether toons are moving elsewhere I can't argue).

Walking in the captain quarters revealed to me, when the toon turns around 180 degrees, the toon may be facing the camera. So the player can't see in the direction the toon is facing and able to ambulate towards. Additionally, when the toon walks in the direction of the camera, the camera falls back. this is a great perspective, if the toon's head were turned to look behind the toon. CCP should fix this to make toon movement possible.

I guess there was a brief discussion about relevance of toon and the cq to the game too; although I'm not trying to promote the matter in general. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=368986

Ok, you got me, entered CQ the first time after a year to check this, wanted to be unbiased and informed before hating on your repost and outrageous statement (exaggerating, hehe).

First, movement is possible, as probably has been pointed out in your other, still open thread - not going to read through that, cause 2 seconds in CQ proved to me the falsehood of that statement. To be precise, movement is actually quite excellent.

Admittedly, the camera is sometimes a bit off, but does not hinder movement at all, just infringes maybe on your enjoyment of the view a bit and might break the illusion of imm... well, you are not even in first person perspective .. so not much to break. Could be better, but changing it is a wasted effort.

And BY THE WAY, if you are not using aswd or the arrow keys (personal settings) then you are not using all the tools for movement.
The camera rotation is up to you, that's what you got the mouse for.

The fault is on you, your perception of the issue and not on the game. No change needs to be made and your 'complaint', which it is by the way, not a suggestion, is invalid.

Thank you for misusing the forum - please do not use this service again.

Sorry, I think you're completely mistaken. I use the aswd keys. Aswd is the only way a toon can turn 180 degrees efficiently (using the mouse to turn a full 180 degrees makes the toon walk in a widening circular manner). If the toon turns 180 degrees with w or s, the toon may be facing the camera, providing a view behind the toon not the direction the toon is facing. CCP should fix this, was my suggestion.

Perhaps if the camera angle changed 180 degrees, when w or s is used, to maintain a forward view, toon movement would be improved. But, I'm not confident in that as a solution. The relationship between aswd and mousing is complicated, clearly there are many finer points to it, and the cq is small and restrictive to toon movement. I feel I can rely on CCP to determine whether changing the function of a key command is a solution.

When I turn around 180 degrees in one step, I see in front of me; is my only perception of every issue, ig and irl. I don't need to turn my head around, after I turn my body, to see in front of me. Turning the camera, to reflect the direction the toon is facing, after turning the toon, is a lengthy extra step making toon movement less efficient and less possible. Maybe if I changed my mouse speed, specifically for these purposes, and/or for toon movement in general, my 'complaint' would become invalid. But, I'm not doing that.

I don't care much for this issue, in retrospect. I can't figure out why you bothered to reply, K'ahn. I'm not addressing it again, nor checking this post.
