CSPA even charged for people with excellent standing?

Does anyone else have this?

I keep getting complaints about how people have to pay CSPA,
although I definitely have them set as dark blue ...

... and now I double checked the options and even the tooltip ...

... and it says that buddies are not charged CSPA ...


... so wtf is going on ?


People are mad at me for this, thinking I didn't add them!

CSPA charge is set in the eve-mail settings.

Go to eve-mail -> Settings (the three small horizontal lines top left) -> set CSPA to 0.

You need to train Reading Comprehension at least to lvl1.

You don't understand how CSPA works. That's cool, lots of n00bs have difficulty with it.

CSPA is independent of standings. It doesn't matter if someone is dark blue or dark red, everyone pays what you set in the eve-mail settings.

Please explain the wording. I understand that you already have proven
that you have issues with reading comprehension, but maybe you can do better this time.

And yes, I set the CSPA to zero before I made this thread. And this issue only came up recently,
for some odd reason and in the five years I've been playing I didn't have this ever come up.

Suddenly people I have added start complaining about the CSPA I had set
and I insisted that I have added them, which ...

... ACCORDING TO THE TOOLTIP TELLING HOW IT SHOULD WORK ...

... frees them from paying.

Haha, well I guess that makes me a n00b. Oh well, must admit I haven't actually looked at that setting in years since I've had it at 0 pretty much from day one.

Very early in my EvE fun time I found out this was broken as corpies were saying that they were getting charged even though they had +10 status, therefore I just set it to 0 and it has stayed there since.

Yeah, it's supposed to be turned off for contacts, irregardless of standing, I think.

It worked a couple weeks or so ago when I was trying to get one of my buddies to play EVE.

Hyperion probably broke it. Cause it seems to have affected everything in some way.

but I don't recall people complaining about my CSPA throughout the months.

Guess if everyone has zero CSPA i have to petition.

Today a really good friend told me he has been paying CSPA throughout the week
and I didn't even know.

That's a way to lose friends without even knowing ...
... and I do consider that a serious issue.

Oh i forgot... this was pre Hyperion already.

Years ago I set it to a million on my main. Someone paid around 6 million to send me mails... Was funny when they realized that. The sixth mail was to call me a jerk. Guess he did not learn the first 5 times.

I know why you made the thread, my Reading Comp skill is trained to level 4 at least. Just reporting that this was an issue years ago. It may have been fixed and then re broken. But either way I felt that my 'story', although not the same situation, would add something to your data set P If you find it unnecessary data reporting, you have my sincerest apologies for clogging the thread Bear

I was able to keep a Jita scammer going in EvE mails for about 20 strings. Kept increasing with each message until the CSPA capped out. I was upset when I found that there was a cap to the charge.
