In selecting the target system, it was noted that only 3 Amarr systems in the warzone are being maintained at or close to stability. As I write this response the 'strongest' Amarr systems in terms of contestation rate, are:

Auga: Stable
Tannakan: Stable
Siseide: 8.7%
Sahtogas: 20.0%
Kamela: 29.8%
Saikamon: 32.7%
Rest: +40%

When discussing the target in the Iron Oxide directorship, Kamela was suggested. My response was: "Kamela is easy mode, it has fallen twice this year already. The Amarr simply won't fight for it."

Sisiede has the issue that we don't own any of the surrounding system with which we can base out of. Don't bother pointing at Amamake.

So the choice, if we actually wanted a fight, boiled down to Tannakan or Auga. Of the two, Auga I'm quite convinced offers the best advantages to the Amarr, next door to Sisiede, 2 jumps from Egghelende with the added advantage of actually being convenient for us in Huola. If you people can't accept that, tough, don't bother debating it, the target is chosen now.

We have given the Amarr almost a week's notice to prepare for it. The 32 hour time limit with a specific end time, is also designed to give the Amarr a chance, without negatively impacting Minmatar moral. Hitting 75% contested in 32 hours when the enemy is prepared is no mean feat. Worrying that ultimately we will grind you down with numbers over time is a non event. All the Amarr have to do is come strong in one time zone and skirmish in the others and the event will end with Auga still in Amarr hands. A real chance for the Amarr to rebuild on.

I do not subscribe to the Amarrian Vengeance type bullsh*t that was Burn Huola, where the attackers objective was to make things so unpleaseant for the enemy that they choose not to log. That is not PvP or 'content'. I want a viable enemy, long term, I want challenging PvP, not button orbiting, not forum circle jerking, while twisting the facts.

Now it is simply down to the Amarr. The target and conditions have been carefully chosen to give them a viable chance in saving the system. But we're not giving it to them on a plate, they have to bring it.

How do you hope to do this since you are all farmers?

EDIT - one of the ILAW dudes thumbed this up. I guess he thought it was serious :)

This was really interesting to read. I will be curious to see how it all turns out. Right now there's a lot of debate about whether it was a good idea for GalMil to sweep the warzone, with the winning viewpoint being that the Caldari basically needed tough love if they were going to shape up as a militia and be able to come back and provide good fights. Ya'll are taking the other approach that in some ways resembles the GalMil minority opinion advocated by those who didn't want the Squids kicked out completely.

Clearly a much considered policy here! Kudos.

I checked your killboard, you should pray for them to leave fella.

Hoping that the Amarr have the will to step up and defend Auga, someone is obviously interested in it due to the daily contested level. Will be interesting to see how much an impact the departure of Bio and collapse of A-VNG (at the hands of their own lauded 'Psycho Warfare'?) have had on the militia as a whole.

Could the removal of these rather large egos have a positive affect on the militia? Will talent have the opportunity to shine now the entitlement that bankrolling a campaign gives individuals has somewhat faded? Guess we'll find out next week.

its unlikely that announcing a system takeover makes someone actually move into it to defend it. But you never know. Nobody announced a takeover of an empty system yet. Someone might pass through it.. its on a popular roaming route.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Why on wednesday and not on friday, would it not bring more people if you put it closer to the weekends?

Are you implying that most of these people actually have jobs?

I had moved my first load of ships into huola within 12 hours of the 'burn huola' thread. I guess it depends on what kind of player you are.

Starting 6 days from now, at 1600 hrs Wednesday 3rd September, the Siege of Auga begins. We've waited long enough for good fights from the Amarr farmlitia, and since the gud fites have not been forthcoming...we will be coming to them.

The goal is pew. Many ships will be lost. Much fun will be had.

We come for your loot.

The issue is time zones. It always has been. I'm not sure how much of a fight you'll get out of current Amarr EU TZ and the majority of US TZ is currently vacationing in the alps.

I think we were under the impression that Terpene lived there. If it's not defended we could always use it to stage for Siseide if we wanted? As Major said it's just a content generator, we will be there in ships and if you want you can come bring ships and fight us. What's not to like? xx

Probably more relevant to system contestation than, I dunno, a kitey Sentinel 200km off a plex beacon P

Try thinking about this in terms of a date. We're a sure fire thing. No need to take us out and show us a good time, buy us flowers or a nice meal. We'll be in your mums basement, laying on our back, all exposed and ready for some action. The hard works already been done, all you need to do it step up to the mark.

Right now you're telling us you don't want to play, we're not interesting enough for you. That's going to hurt our feelings and we'll just end up packing up our stuff, getting drunk in a bar and getting banged out back by the bins by some real men. They'll probably treat us real bad in the long run and will never be good for a stable relationship with mutual respect for each other but we just want to be loved, you know. Won't you show us some love?

you are right, but terp is small corp and we cannot effectively defend it when you constantly outnumbered us ;-) (I think you remember when you retake Kourmonen last time)
