Glad I'm not CCP Falcon today

I'm fine with being me today, the release went out on time and with no delays.

While some people are unhappy with some of the changes, I don't work as a game designer, so I can't comment on the thinking behind changes to balance and mechanics.

All I can do is deliver feedback from you guys, to the guys who work directly on development.

Smile

This post is really knawing at me. CCP Falcon is happy as a clam with the new patch, because it was on time and "deployed successfully". I would argue the later point, but that's the way CCP sees it. Its their product, so I guess their opinion is what counts more than their silly customers.

CCP's whole attitude here seems to be "Well, it was screwed up, too bad for you, deal with it." Very nice. I would suggest that in the future, if you can't comment on something, then don't. A smarmy attitude doesn't help anything.

Dear OP,

Misinterpreting his words just to have a thread makes you look rather desperate.

Is this about the overview snafu? It took me all of 30 seconds to fix the problem on patch day , a whole day before CCPs official fix.

I still haven't fixed my overview to my satisfaction, but I don't feel the urge to blame CCP for it.

Dear Mum,

Went to the rendezvous with Andre,
No one showed.
But outside, his operatives attacked me with laser-guided loaves of French bread.
Nurse gave me something for the pain, and recommended a remarkable Chiropractor.

There's a million angry citizens looking down their tubes..at me.

Just calling this before Falcon inevitably comes in with a hilarious shutdown to the OP.

Every patch, update and expansion CCP ever produced was screwed up and the old forum as well as this one has the bandwidth soaking posts to prove it! NYAH!

Every patch, update, expansion, colour change, DLC and data set has bugs. Its called programming. It happens.

Deployed successfully means it didn't break EvE.

But, y'know, have a whinge, if it makes you feel validated.

If you think having bugs equates to the incorrectness of what the announcement meant about hyperion being deployed successfully, then perhaps you're interpreting CCPs words differently to the way they intended them (which you even acknowledge).

It's the other stuff CCP do to fix bugs post a deployment that help demonstrate their non-smarmy attitude. Game design aspects aside (because those are choices and opinions, all of which are valid from different perspectives), CCPs response to bugs in the program is generally fairly good IMO.
