On patch day we were roaming through our chain and caught a golem jumping through critical wormhole. If it wasn't for the mass/jump change, the golem would have been in range to jump back and collapse the wormhole. Big smile

Lots of connected WHs means more PvP (aka content). And you say CCP doesn't listen!

I am so tired of this argument. I have spent the last 5 years off and on in w-space. Expecting people to colonize w-space is like expecting them to colonize Australia. You can't walk out your front door without at least 4 animals/bugs/cloakies trying to kill you, and you people(what do YOU mean by you people) expect others to choose to live there as opposed to some civilized society like France/null sec just so you can be one of the deadly animals hunting them. Maybe there are less people in w-space because the people that live there now don't do anything to encourage new people to join in the "fun"? I know if I read all the tears that have been spewing about w-space over the last few months I would be so anxious to jump in with both feet, but maybe I am just a masochist like that, and others aren't.

If it had more material or ISK faucets, more people will try to live in W-space. It's as simple as that.

I agree with you, there is an over-supply of PvP in W-space already. If that wasn't true, I wouldn't see T3 blobs' scouts spending literally HOURS waiting for some noob in my corp (sometimes me) to put his ship in harm's way so they can batphone their buddies to gank his drake or venture or whatever.

Also, I saw some small corp getting their POS bashed last week. It looks like great fun for the attackers, but seriously, every time you evict some weak corp from a C3, you eliminate content. Small corps are only going to lose a few billion worth of POS and time investments a few times before they move out; maybe just one time. Greed, in this case, is not good.

This is absolutely true. Plenty of people try to dickswing about evictions, but then turn around and complain about a lack of content. Yes you can claim that evictions provide ~*content*~, but it's content one time and decreases content over time. Pretty much, if someone tells you that evictions are good and provide content, never take financial advice from them.

That's a pretty stupid way of looking at it. It's our job to play the game and have fun however we can and it's CCP job so make sure there is enough incentive for people to live here.

Would you have PVP corps ignore an opportunity of a kill just so wormhole space becomes a good place to carebear?

First, CCP has stated since the beginning they never intended for colonization of w-space, so no, it is not their job to make sure it is fun, safe, or anything else for you to "live" there. It is their job to provide a game that is fun enough to play so that they can obtain and retain subscribers. I had fun yesterday BECAUSE of the new mechanics, so #thanksccp.

Second, killing carebears does not a PVP corp make in my opinion, but your opinion may be different than mine. Kill anyone, kill everyone, I could care less. I have even told people that while it is not my play style I enjoy seeing people get dropped by Blood Union, and would laugh if it had happened to me/us.

Third, and probably most importantly to me, I read some posts that say there is too much PVP in w-space, so CCP should do something. I then read in other posts, often in the same topic, that there is not enough PVP in w-space, so CCP should do something. Then I read more posts where people are crying that CCP did something. At least we can all agree amongst ourselves on what the real problems are in w-space...

you seem to suggest that forums represent all of w-space, which i don't think is entirely true. its also a very complex subject matter, as i'm sure you are aware, and as such its not always easy to look at effects beyond your own direct environment. Sadly, its far easier to take a stance on one side or the other and sling mud (aka. forum pvp) than to try and have a discussion.

Having said that, I actually thought the wh feedback threads had alot of constructive comments, maybe not everyone agreed, but by in large there was good feedback and general concensus on certain key points. Since CCP asked for this feedback, i think its only fair it should have been acknowledged in some way before launch.
