I've noticed, after freezing 4x just after the DT, that rebooting my mac was helpful … no freeze since I reboot 3 hours ago. Dunno if its a coincidence or not, but I believe it noticeable…

I play with only one client

Otherwise you owe me a hurricane :)

Hi all, I can't agree with you more that this issue is very important, to you and to me and by extension, CCP. There will be an update tomorrow with fixes to some of the issues you are all experiencing. If you are still experiencing this after Tuesday downtime, please reply in this thread and together we can get this fixed.

I haven't experienced this yet and I work on my mac everyday and without experiencing it, It's difficult to get it fixed and make sure it's been fixed.

So in the short term some more information about this bug would really help me:

1) Are you playing in windowed mode?
2) Are you playing in fullscreen and CMD + Tab'ing?
3) What is the specification of your machine?
4) What version of OS X are you using?

Lastly if some of you could make bug reports with cider logs, it would help me greatly.

Same issue, when play PI and than Freeze

I have 29 clients made with clone maker and run up to 10 accounts on 5 monitors simultaneously.

Other than one specific day where I had 3-4 crashes with my main client only, not a clone maker client, while in a station over a period of about 40 minutes, I haven't had a crash in months.

I've had freezes on both my main and the clonemaker client.

I'm getting a "freeze on quit" problem detailed in another thread-- when I go to quit the game, the game window disappears, EVE Online shows as the active application in my menu bar, and I have an EVE cursor I can move around the screen but the system is totally unresponsive. It's still running because music continues to play / I can hear people on mumble, but you can't get out of EVE / bring up force quit dialogue / anything. The only thing you can do is power-cycle the machine. Very frustrating.

It's happening on two computers, a 13 inch i5 equipped Macbook Air running OS X 10.7.2 and an older 15 inch C2D / Geforce 9400M equipped Macbook Pro running 10.5.8. It happens way more frequently on the older machine but I've had it happen on both. Both clients are running in fullscreen mode.

For crashes you should be able to retrieve the Crash report and send this to bugs@eveonline.com.

Attach "Win32 CrashReport" and "Win32_minidump.dmp" to a bug report and call it "For Konflikt : Mac Crash" or similar and I will endavour get this fixed as fast as i can :)

These should give CCP a clue as to where to look.. the freezes are a lot more difficult as there is no report..

Those two files "Win32 CrashReport" and "Win32_minidump.dmp" are dated from 7 sept on my HD…
What I call Crash is when EVE client suddenly quit… apparently it doesnt create any new logs. I already send Cider crash log … hope it help them anyway.

I'm experiencing crashes as well. On my end it especially occurs when i have set "Graphic Content Settings" anything highter then the standard "Optimize Settings for Performance". When i crash i get white flickering blocks all over my screen and the system gets unresponsive.

My setup:

Windows 7 64 bit.
8gb ram
2 x Nvidia Geforce GTX460 wtih SLI

I'm playing in Windows mode
Use alt-tabbing to switch
Update the Nvidia drivers to latest version... even tried the beta version.

If i can provide more info plz let me know.

Yes - 1) Are you playing in windowed mode?
Yes - 2) Are you playing in fullscreen and CMD + Tab'ing?
3) What is the specification of your machine?
Hardware Overview:

Model Name: iMac
Model Identifier: iMac11,3
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2.93 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 8 MB
Memory: 16 GB
Processor Interconnect Speed: 4.8 GT/s
Boot ROM Version: IM112.0057.B00
SMC Version (system): 1.59f2

10.7.2 - 4) What version of OS X are you using?

What I'm experiencing are full freezes. EVE stops responding and the UI stops updating. At this point even CMD-Tab does not work . Opt-Cmd-Esc kills EVE and drops me back to the Finder. I've had this freeze occur at various different times, in space, in station and the last one was while adjusting my audio settings.

I'm currently testing a clean install on a brand new MacBook Pro. I'll report of it crashes too.

Full removal of EVE including all preference files I could find followed by new install yielded a much stabler situation although I did have the classic lock-up while OPT-Tabing back to the app after an hour or so.

Full reinstall with a complete client download and prefs removed doesn't changed anything, I had several freezes this evening.

By the way I've remove all EVE prefs located in user/library/preferences folder. those folders were dated from several weeks ago and I trashed them before reinstall the game, but I have been surprised that the client doesn't create a new EVE pref folder at this location. All is now located in user/library/application Support ? Is this normal ?

I'm sorry to say I become to feel tired with this …

Someone helping us ??

Edit : Actually i can say that 75% of my freeze comes when I'm opening a window (market or chan for exemple) or right-clicking to open popup …

Edit : Why ? why ? why ? Why I don't have any freezes in the morning for exemple, and freezing several times just right after the DT ???

I am using the clonemaker, but the freezes happen with the "main" install, not the clones. And the clones do not have to be running. (I do not know if a clone will freeze if its the only one running, I normally don't do that).

When I am running multiple clients and get a freeze in one client, the other clients see the frozen one as still OK (ship was still in fleet). But as soon as I force quit the frozen client, the others saw the ship of the frozen client drop fleet and e-warp off.

I get freezes in full screen or windowed, with the window in front or covered, in space or docked, just as I do something, or when I have not done anything for a few minutes. I have found no pattern, trigger or repeatable case. In other words, a de-buggers nightmare.

I have also seen a freeze that lasted about 20 seconds, then the client started working again.

The only pattern: if its going to happen, it happens in the first few minutes.
