Stuck in Jump animation after using Jump Gate

My ship got stuck in the Jumping animation after I used a Jump Gate in Octanneve heading to Yvaeroure. I used the gate while I was in ISIS, and when i left ISIS, I got a quick message telling me that Traffic control was not letting me use the gate for a set amount of time (dissapeared before I could catch that) and I was in the Jump animation, which did not stop for a solid 15 minutes. I was in a fleet with someone at the time luckily, so I got them to come check out the issue with me. It turns out my ship was still in Octanneve sitting at the gate, my screen was just locked in the animation. I right clicked on my capacitor to eject from my ship and my buddy took my moderately expensive Noctis back to the dock so that I couldn't lose it if this glitch went south (I'd heard a rumour a guy lost a jump freighter to this).

With only my pod, I got the idea to use dscan to approach my friends ship when he was back to the gate, it worked. But my screen was still stuck in the Jump animation, it was just my pod moving around, I couldn't see it. So I used Dscan to dock at a nearby station. during the warp to the station, my view returned to normal for a second, then it started jumping around as I went into warp and at some point grayed out and there was nothing but my HUD.

Upon docking, everything was back to normal, so I exited the station. Much to my surprise, instead of being grayed out or stuck in an animation, now the stars were bouncing around and there was only the icon of the Yvaeroure gate on my screen. I could not change my camera angle and the icon of the jump gate was spasming to the edges of my screen and then back to the center.

After I realized that I could not fix this from in game, I logged out and logged back in, therefore fixing the problem, everything had returned to normal, and I had not lost a clone. Let this message stand as a warning to CCP, this bug does exist. It's quite scary, and I don't know if that "fix" will work the same for everyone.

I've gotten this bug too and I know several others who have experienced it, always during TIDI with large fleets. Only solution seems to be to kill your client and log back in.

It's an old bug that's been around for at least half a year.
