1st you only need industrial 1 to fly any of that racial industrial ship changed about a year ago, and 2 let him train up a single race I will agree that the tengu and drake are not what they used to but if he isn't well skilled in one area what makes you think he'll be better starting from scratch.

1) The skill level in Gallente Industrial affects the size of the PI hold of the Epithal, and trust me, level IV is absolutely worth it.

2) Training up a single race from frigate to battleship (or carrier) without branching into another race is not what I would suggest for anyone (unless some kind of dedicated roleplayers, perhaps). Anyway, I was just trying to give alternatives, because I don't think Drake/Tengu is a good choice (I trained Drake/Tengu when I was new, but that was before the HM nerf).

Telling a new player to train for HACs instead of a Drake? Silly.

The Drake is hands down the easiest / fastest train to safely run sites in a C1 or C2. It's passive tank makes it resistant to neuting, which is even more important with low skills. Sure it has low dps, but that's secondary to being able to tank the site. You can run a hundred sites in a drake before you have skills to properly fly a Legion.

If you must rush into an expensive cruiser, make it a T3. HACs are much less common in wormhole space as T3s have better tank and utility (Neut Legion, Jamgu, Webbing Loki, etc.) Exceptions would be the Ishtar, for bashing POS, and the occasional Sacrilege because they work nicely with guardians.

In any case, what we say here is irrelevant. Should you join a C4 corp that runs sites in remote rep Domis, a Drake would be useless. So check with the corp and see what they need you to train to be able to participate. Most corps will require you to train:

-Cov Ops
-PVE Doctrine Fit
-PvP Fit (Doctrine or Kitchen Sink)

in that order.

So if I'm understanding correctly
Skill up for the covops frigate and scanning skills.

Ok time to find a corp Shocked

Any suggestions ?

Don't rush into a corp do thorough research, but first figure out what you want to do in whs. A wh corp worth it's salt is the most mistrusting group of sobs so be aware. If you want to pvp check their killboard or kill/loss history as you won't want to see a corp that loses a lot of pve ships. If you are into mining and industry make sure they do that regularly and have access to thier resources. But most of all as a newer player make sure you will be able to sustain yourself financially this is often harder in higher end whs. Also if they don't ask for a lot of information or question, and aren't upfront or happy to train you in whs that corps probably not for you. And last but not least make sure they are active.

Always willing to help all you have to do is ask, though if you're in the other fleet I may not help the way you want. Just a heads up. Pub Channel: Lost Souls Trading Post
