Hello,

Could we please have per-ID error returning in the Locations API (both corp and character). Currently if I supply multiple IDs, then if any of those have any issues, a simple error is returned, without information of the other IDs. This makes us pull this key individually for every ID. Having per-ID error returning would be better for both of us (CCP and app devs) imho. Currently for a single corp's asset,s, around 5-700 IDs needs to be checked in Locations if one is after the info there (like renamed stuff, ships, etc). Making a couple of hundred or just a 10s of requests makes a different, maybe.

One reason they don't is it could then be used to find additional info about existing stuff by scanning all IDs without having to know the IDs to start with.

Finds camping stations from the inside much easier. Designer of Yapeal for the Eve API. Check out the Yapeal PHP API Library thread.

I don't see how is this related to the OP, sorry.
You can scan everything, just by supplying one ID at a time. And I have a valid usecase, based on the Assets endpoint.
