I propose changing the way CSM elections are handled. This will allow the player base from all areas of Eve to participate in the CSM.

1) Allow only 2 representatives each from the two major power blocks. ie. N3/CFC would only have 2 CSM members among them.

This would give a balanced CSM, one where the players actually matter and not the major sov holding blocks of Nullsec.

Made a signature so I am taken seriously on the forums, since thats the only thing they are good for.

I believe the states of California and New York should only have 2 representatives in the house.

If you don't like te people getting voted for, get to work doing politics.

E: after fact checking myself I'm going to include texas in this list.

No.

If you limit nullsec (how else are you gonna decide who is in a large enough power block?) to only 2 representatives, you take away the reason for most of their people to even vote. They wll still get their 2 ppl voted in but total voting goes way down.
Any "fix" to this should be getting more WH/low/hi sec people to vote!

So you are trying to bring about a senate compared to a house of representatives...both have their pros and cons (Just depends what side of the coin you are on really). That being said, it's not really enforceable to have a senate because the majority of Eve player have ALTS.... MORE ALTS.... so because someone in the CFC has a lowsec/highsec/wh alt, that they decide to be their figurehead for running for the senate, changes nothing.

Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012.

In other words, you hate democracy, because people you hate vote more than people you like.

Yeah, that's not going to result in a change in the voting mechanics.

Bit simplified isnt it?
Its not unheard of that votes for less populated areas count more per vote. Or segments of the voting population is counted by itself in regions (or states if that makes its easier) where each region/state is counted as 1 unity for votes instead of counting every single vote under 1.

But due to alts its hard to determine where each vote or candidate should be placed.

Edit: Looks like i got a bit sidetracked there :P
Anyway, it will be way to hard to decide what candidate fits where, as the powerblocks will use out of corp/alliance toons to secure their seat and null is the most organised groups with industry/market/pvp/pve/whatever so any limit to null people on CSM would cripple the overall CSM

Decisions are made by those who show up. If highsec wants a seat at the table they need to get their act together.

No, not really. Hacking up democracy to make some people's votes worth more than others is a damnable farce, systems that invoke it are bad and need to be fixed, and systems that don't currently use it should not be broken to include that awful misfeature.

That's basically it.
