The competition for good teams has never been more cut-throat. Today, I've witnessed two team auctions ended in 10 digits. Here are the info about the two teams.

Team 1 : "Roden Shipyards Team MSO00"

Winning bid : 2,500,001,488 ISK
Winner : 0-TRV1

Attribute : 1. Capital class: -5% time; 2. Titan: -5% materials;
3. Medium class: -0.5 materials; 4. Large class: -2% time.

Salary: 11%

Team 2: "Core Complexion Inc. Team MST01"

Winning bid: 1,000,000,000 ISK
Winner: Niyabainen

Attribute: 1. Small class: -1% time; 2. Large class: -2% materials;
3. Assault Frigate: -4% time; 4. Black ops: -5% materials.

Salary: 10%

Several things I've noticed or heard:

1. There is a reported bug: most teams disappered 7 days earlier than intended. That might be the reason why these big alliances were in such a hurry to get a team.

2. The titan team is actually a good deal, in my opinion. You spent 2.5 billions to save 4-5 billions for every titan started in next 28 (or 21 days due to the bug). Still, 2.5 billions ISK has set the NEW world record.

3. Niyabainen has acquired a lot of good ship building teams. It may already become a ship building center due to its short distance from Jita.

4. Rumor has it that some alliance wants to build a balck ops fleet. I suspect that some corp in Niyabainen has been awarded the contract. It has to be a big order because, in order to justify the 1B team cost, you need to build roughly 30 black ops.

Luckily if you are a BLOPS builder and lost that bid, you can just move your operation to Niyabainen and leech off the team someone else paid for :)

Might be worth it in this case, even with all the :effort:

I guess 0-TRV1 is probably a good place to go to kill baby titans.

Well, i guess watching which null sec systems win those types of teams is a good way to find what systems your enemies are building titans in...

How about we start with aborting Four Pillars from B0T?

It's kinda funny, that last night 2 nice Titan teams (4 and 5%, respectively) went uncontested to highsec systems for a laughable cost (about 20 and 2m iirc).

Maybe some people starting out in industry think they can build Titans in HighSec?

Free intel for EVERYONE!

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

One team has a 5% Destroyer bonus, so maybe whoever got it was aiming at that bonus rather than going for titan production in HS. The other team was crap besides the 4% titan bonus afaik. But again, I wonder in the first place why both teams ended up in something else than a backwater nullsec system... especially after the 2B catch a few days ago. Wrong timezone, no interest, or what else could be the reason?

Actually. the same thing happened to Black ops.

The elite Black Ops team Niyabainen has won is indeed the best one, with 7.5% material savings. However, other black ops teams with 4% or 5% material savings can be won with under 100M.

Is it really worthwhile to spend extra 900M just for extra two and half percent? Well, only if they are buidling one hundred Black Ops. But whoever won the elite team was very determined. He started as the highest bidder with 550M, then increased it to 1B intentionally.

Now the big question is, was that one person bidding or a massive cumulative of industrialists?

Or someone buying the team to deny others. If i see good/decent + cheap teams that while I have no need for, just to deny other's I may bid for them.
