Please change the default eye-lid positions! Thanks!

I am updating this thread with images to illustrate the point plain and simply.

That's the default ... and bad. Horribly unrealistic and emotionless.

That's with the eyelids slightly pushed up ... and actually shows that there is live in the face.

Thanks!

Greetings! (:

I am asking you to change the default position of the lower eye-lid ...
... from lowest, hanging too far below the iris ...
... to just a bit further up so it touches it properly.

Instant realism.

Why??

Because when these muscles in your faces are so relaxed that they drop below the iris ...
... go check photographies of yours or look into a mirror ... (face photographies ... click on "Images" at the top)
... you are either partly paralysed ...
... under medication ...
... or dead.

You can see in the eyes on the photographies ...
... and that there is actual emotion to be seen.

The eyelids never look completely relaxed.

What really wonders me about all of this is, though, ...
... that so many people have no issues with ...
... or don't even realise the zombie-esque, dead appearances of their avatars.

I do not have enough information to make a list of possibilities ...
... which could cover enough ground to make reasonable assumptions about this.

It got continually better over the years ...
... but too many faces will always have dead eyelids.

It hurts realism and feeling a lot.

People don't notice the absense of something they're not missing.

But I am missing it, because I am aware of it.

I notice it.

I am hypersensible to this.

I am more aware of what's going on in the faces of others ...
... and mew eden's faces are realistic enough that I can read what's going on in their minds.

That, though, needs a face that has an actual facial expression of some sorts!

It is a ridiculously small thing ...
... but if suddenly every real person around you had their eyelids like the current default setting ...
... with their faces indicating no actual emotion whatsoever ...

... then YOU ... would notice too!

No real thought ... (ever noticed how you tighten specific muscles in your face when you concentrate?)
... just mindlessness ... (no added tension, no concentration!)
... and even a smile would look completely fake and artificial. *

My gratitude towards you ...
... for this tiny change ...
... sees no end!

Seriously!

This bugs me for years ...
... and I am sooooo freakin' sick of it ..................

Thank you ! :)

*(........ try smiling without your eyes supporting it ... and tell me how it went ......)

Confirming that OP's post has the most wasted space in all of the EVE forums.

Also ... what? Really?

I am going to say "no"... just because I know that the OP's real life eye is twitching over this and that amuses me.

+1 Because I care for the OP's sanity

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.

Too. Much. Space.

You sit too much in station quarters than outside pewing, scamming or trading.

You can already move the lower eyelid up quite a bit in customization.

You can move both top and bottom for a more squinty look. You can move the lower up a bit and move the outer eyebrows up a bit for laughing eyes. aaannd..

I could go on with the possibilities of Eve's already amazing character customization but I'll just stop there. Just mess with it a bit more I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for. Smile

Not sure that worked well for your own avatar, you look a lot like a love doll to me.

Uhm ...
I already know that.
You did not properly understand my post.

And you should take a good look onto my bio ...

That depends ... but is' pretty creepy, actually.
You don't look like a "doll", btw ... while she does.

Sorry, was just trying to offer suggestions. As for myself I was actually just going for pretty and friendly. To me tattoos and piercings are creepy, but I suppose it's subjective anyway.

Updated the initial post with images.

I can also easily gather hundreds of them to get the point across
but I am sure that there will be someone who feels the difference.
