Whats up with the Download and Install

Been trying to download the game for 2 days now , filed a support ticket concerning the auto downloader and manual files, getting same errors " target payload not found", CCP has failed to respond to my ticket as yet, just payed and reinstated my first account and can't even install the game on my new system, have tried everything at this point, shut down the AV and firewall then completelely shut down zonealarm all together as well as firewalls, not having issues with internet router all other downloads working fine.Is anyone awake at CCP? Payed the money guys would like to be able to play the game...

Hey Maximus,

I just tried installing on a new system and I'm having the same luck. Doing the manual download as I type. In some of the reading I've done people recommend clearing out your temp folder. I noticed that the executable file for the auto installer and the manual downloader are one and the same. If you still have the corrupt installation download in your temp folder, it may be trying to use that so that might be why you get the target payload message.

Once I'm finished, I will try emptying my temp folder, restarting and then seeing what happens when I try to install. I'll let you know what happens when I try

Hey Maximus,

Good news, I tried the above and it worked!

First I deleted the EVE installer from my downloads folder to start with a clean slate, then I downloaded the three installation files manually from the Eve website

Once the downloads were complete, I wiped my TEMP folder clean of any files it would let me. Some apps were using certain files so I skipped them. Look up cleaning the temp file for windows if you need help. Once the temp file was cleared I restarted for good measure.

Lastly, I went to my downloads folder where the three files were and ran the executable one. It's the same process as the auto installer after that. The files should extract and the game will be installed.
