Join Caldari. We're in a tight spot, but if you can get into some of the bigger alliances (like mine, perhaps) we can offer solid PVP against a well supplied and talented enemy and help getting enough ships and ISK to keep fighting. Between dodging and skirmishing bigger fleets and brawling for plexes you get to practice a lot of different kinds of combat and see lots of things blow up!

Edit: bro you're in CCDM you're already set! Or am I misreading stuff here?

Well the amarr and minmatar warfront is dead as a dodo regarding wartargets. Amarr have to look at pirates for targets right now. Basically burnhuola burned both amarr and minmatar out. With summer still to be enjoyed both sides are basically at about 1/4 strength.

Caldari is a good choice right now to be honest, the gallente make great targets and the caldari militia has far more competance than the gallente propoganda would have you think.

I appreciate that the OP has made his choice now, but for others...

I would disagree that the Amarr/Minmatar warzone is dead. It is not as active as last month but that's hardly surprising, yet I'm still seeing an invigorated warzone left over from the Burn Huola campaign.

The summer months do tend to be quiet months, in June/July/August 2013 I managed 207/206/196 kills. This year I managed 186 (June), 1139 (July) and 214 kills in the first 14 days of August (Eve-Kill stats). Burn Huola was 6th-22nd July.

Some of those fights are with neutrals/pirates though. I'd guess outside of the Burn Huola period, between a third and a half.

I have very limited experience of the Caldari/Gallente warzone so can't say how it compares.

What I would say though if you are interested in PvP rather than RP, the best times tend to be when you are on the back foot, in low tier and only holding a few system. The fights come to you, there are lots of them, often with a large smattering of inexperienced pilots, leeroying onto your guns and showering you with blingly loot. At the other end of the scale, when you are winning the RP war, you are scratching around for fights and the ones you do find tend to be with the hard core PvPers who know what they are doing and will usually own the average player like me.

However, that fun can be drastically tempered by the personality of the players you play with. Of course everyone will tell you which Militia is full of arseholes - it's the other one.

while we may be losing systems, we sure are kicking their teeth in and giving it a hard fight. Just check my killboards for today alone!

Don't you mean lacerating their toes with your breaking teeth? P But, your propaganda aside, nice to see you fighting.Smile

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, please give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

I tried to be good-natured in my ribbing of this veiled recruiting thread. However, your childish (itself) burn has me so upsetSad I'm gonna raaaaaaage Evil

Seriously though, your militia is in a bad place atm. And your pathetic claims of superiority in the midst of your obvious losing is sad recruiting tactic. The systems being taken now are home systems and being taken by pvp not pve activity. Noone is going to believe the claim that you are actually winning while you are losing. Your allusion to "data" is not citation of data. Present some data and then we'll debate whether it is an accurate representation of what's going on.

Better to just admit the losing and play up the camaraderie on your side. Maybe enough current calmil people will stay logged in and fight such that you can avoid the clean sweep. This is a game and it's supposed to be fun. Stick with that and I think your recruiting will go better.

Personally I haven't participated much in the recent fighting which appears to be heading toward routing through the entire warzone. I think some of the guys that are participating are almost doing it out of nobler intent ( i.e. hoping CCP tweaks the current mechanics on tiers and such to end the "when you're down that's where you'll stay" dynamic). It's nice being in galmil since we have the upperhand atm. No one really wants the wild farmer driven pendulum of the previous mechanics to return. But, maybe CCP will adjust the pooridge and get it just the right temperature to preserve conflict, and also some rough equilibrium, at the same time.

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, please give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

Yep, I was all pumped up on battle and beer so I got a little overconfident. As far as straight pvp goes, we are doing quite well - but yeah, we're getting owned for the overall war :P Lets see if we can start pushing back!

Here derp.

First, I totally wanted to make this a Recruitment Thread, Shaklu didn't. Turns out he was accepted into Templis after posting the thread. And I appreciate the patriotism he quickly embraced upon joining.

Second, I think he is referring to his personal killboard.

Judging from the battle report though I am pretty sure both sides bled each other pretty well, despite our defeat in Kinakka.
