Confirming blog with no actual CCP references is a legit source for upcoming features and changes.

When is the pressing of the delete button? Any chance of live streaming it?

There was a time when a trailer actually started by say "In game footage used."

Fine. I'll behave...

On topic. Overall I think the graphics are fine. One of the very, very nice things about EVE is that it can be played effectively on a laptop and on lower end systems. I use both a convertible laptop with HD4000 as well as a low power desktop with an ATI620. On the former I run a mix of medium and high settings with HDR. On the later I run everything on High without the HDR.

Increasing the graphical fidelity would be nice, but it may restrict some people from being able to play the game on their current rigs. Also, I'm a believer in gameplay over graphics and fun over shiny.

I was hunting for sick loot, but all I could get my hands on were 50 corpses[:|]..............[:=d]

There WAS an initiative to completely overhaul wrecks and whatnot starting at the supercap level and working down. If i recall correctly, its still on the todo list, but the art team and whatnot are beign tasked with other stuff for the time being.

The problem became, the original intent was to have wrecks that were active, so that it would break apart and piece out animated style, which when tested apparently killed graphics cards like an Incarna 2.0 or something.

In a way I am. There is nothing wrong with wanting an official CCP source of the discussion. Not a random blog comment about how much more realistic the game would be with it.

I did some digging. The best that could be come up with was another random thread comment back in 2011 listed here and the Capital Wreck revamp here where the ending line is:

I don't remember reading, "must contain 'Official' CCP reference/data".
