Thanks to Carmen's hard work, the lagl IRC is working.

she can set you up with a BNC, which catches you up to the channel traffic when you log in (so you don't have to miss anything or log in blind to the conversation)

is awesome.

yes absolutely would be on it. I lurk IRC. two thoughts:

There are things I would like to talk about that cannot be transmitted in-game

Is there a way to log the channel so that I can catch up

rather than replying to all, i figured it would be better to post this topic. another benefit of LAGL is the fact that you can catch up on what you've missed. that's not something that is native to IRC. was wondering if you could make it a consideration.

the main benefit of IRC being... communication outside of CCP/EVE's servers

Get a BNC/logbot, it would log your IRC channel while you are not connected.

Regretfully, I will not be able to join since most of my LAGL time is via work computer. I know Zimmy mentioned that as well but may have lighter restrictions than I do.

Entity had a way of forwarding in-game channels to an IRC channel. It involved an EVE character. He's one of those computer-l337 types, though, and it might be something he did one-off. you might have to ask him about it.

you could also make in-game channels public, I forget how. scc-lounge is logged the same way as recruitment channel.

But you can't send message back into the in-game channel. I was talking about making a fully separate IRC channel for nerds to log into. No connection to the in-game channel at all, as that is ridic complicated.
