Remote Trade Option

Situation
Let's imagine that you have a particular asset that you want to exchange between 2 characters that both belong to you. These characters are not in the same location therefore...

Problem
Your only way of doing this is to run the clickfest gauntlet that is the contracts system.

Solution
  • Allow us to r-click on an item in the assets window and select "Remote Trade"
  • We then enter the name of a character to trade with and they receive an invitation to the trade
  • Trade completes and the asset in question changes ownership immediately

  • Pros
This does not add any new functionality, but it does make the transfer process much easier and drastically reduces the amount of clicking required.

    Cons
Could be used to grief people by spamming trade invitations.

    Workarounds
Add an "auto-reject trade invitations" option to the ESC menu, just like the "auto-reject duel invitations" option.

Plz +1 this and leave some constructive comments so it will get done. It will make life so much easier, I can't be the only one who transfers assets between my own characters on a regular basis.

Or... You can make a contract and assign it to that character you want to trade to name...

6 clicks is not a clickfest

Have you ever tried contracting containers? 1 extra click for every container, plus a noticeable delay as the server checks to see what (if anything) is inside the container. It is very far from ideal.

Can't you highlight items in a hanger and right click and select, Create Contract? Pretty sure that how it works, so trading multiple containers shouldn't be an issue. I mean this sounds more like away to avoid contract fee is anything else.

Or a way to avoid the contract history, blowing the cover of his super secret spy alts. Cool

If you have the other person's name handy, you can drag and drop their name into the correct space on the contract. This saves a lot of time.

Also, six clicks is not a clickfest.

Would be funny to have kind of.

PLayer A let me trade you something.

    Sure....

Wtf, this item is in 0.0, locked station no less.

Contracts, op, protect against this. YOu see exactly where the item is. Accepting it on you after that.

Just make the contract man...we can rez the many trade threads to see why trade should not even be used in the first place lol.

Sorry, it's 7 clicks assuming you are contracting all containers,

Select containers you want to contract, right click, select create contract
    Drag name to window
    Click through to finish

Only one check of the containers that way.

I will admit that I had not considered contract history. I still say that this would be much nicer than the contracts system though :P
