Yesterday I experienced the same problems as everyone else: No access to the website or forums, unable to connect to the eve servers ect.

However after the servers were brought back online I was still unable to connect, getting either the message "The connection to the server was closed." or "The authentication token provided by the launcher is of an invalid format. Please try again or contact EVE customer support."

Now I have tried every fix/ work around mentioned for similar issues on these forums and opened a ticket over 24H ago (still without a single reply other than the automated message).

Things I have tried:
Restarting router and my comp
Changing IP address
Repairing eve
Re installing eve
Deleting cashed data on eve client
loading directly from .exe

In the same house with the same connection I can access my account on a different computer 100% fine. Could somebody please tell me what the problem is/what I can do? Thanks.

Just a shot in the dark, but have you tried resetting the Launcher Settings?

You could try running updater.exe from Eve/launcher/cache to basically re-install the launcher.

Hmmm, how do I do that?

From your Eve install folder (the one with the eve.exe, repair shortcut, bin, lib, and res folders etc.) the path is launcher/cache/updater.exe

Ok so I was just taking a random shot in the dark, followed this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357

Downloaded the fixit programme and restarted the computer and it now finally seems to work What?

Very confused about what the issue was but at least it works?

Cheers for the help btw.
