Rouge Drones - What do you fly?

I have access to a null-sec drones system and unlike other NPC's rouges are tougher. I fly Tengu with very efficient skills. even with HAM EM missiles I pull 700DPS yet its still time consuming killing them.

I was curious to know what ships people fly to effectively take rouge drones out fast.

I used to use a Tachyon fit Oracle to run the Patrols. The ship is cheap and using standard crystals means pure profit and no downtime dealing with ammo logistics. I also saw people using the Apocalypse, Navy Apocalypse, Paladin and Nightmare with good results. Sentry boats are another good option, instant damage, no ammo worries and good range.

I didn't. I honestly thought CCP introduced Rouge Drones, which can apply make-up to your avatar.

Joking aside, a Tengu sounds good enough. Since Rogue Drones are vulnerable against EM and Thermal, a Legion would also work fine. Heck, you can even use a HAM-subsystem with the Legion, if you start to miss your Tengu.

A Proteus with drone-subsystems could work, thanks to the variable damage, or you just go with the massive damage, high-range rail Proteus. Still enough thermal damage in there, I think. And I think it would still be more effective then heavy missiles on a Tengu, thanks to heavy missiles being utter ****.

Rouge Drones could just mean Red drones. Rouge is French for Red not makeup :D

ON TOPIC -> Maybe the problem is the HAMs rather than the Tengu.
