Okay, you know how the Local channel is often nothing but a bunch of SPAM and you can block people, but another person does the same thing, or the person you blocked says something that would be important to you, but you can't see it because you blocked them?

I suggest that if a person blocks them, they no longer receive updates in that channel for 2 minutes. This makes the spamming unproductive to them, and motivates them to not do that.

They still have the option, but it makes it less useful to the spammer.

This would be so open to abuse it might as well be wearing a string vest and drinking lager from a can.
